One thing that is pretty-much beyond debate is that the "powers that be" at FT screwed their customers. Now, PS bails them out. For those that loved FT software, this would seem to be the best of both worlds. FT software/PS integrity backing it up.

Myself, meh, I was always totally happy with the PS software and, of course, their support was always top notch. I'm glad, of course, that the players will finally be getting their money back, but as a US player I assume that if I were ever able to actually play on FT that I'd also be able to play on PS. I'd probably just stick with PS since they've always been good to me, and I like their software. With them backing FT, though, I'd not hesitate to play there either if I found I liked the software.

Honestly - there is absolutely nothing they could do to get me over there.

But I do agree with Rudy that this is the best case scenario for FTP - "FT software/PS integrity backing it up."

yeah Rush was fun, also Matrix SnGs was a lot of fun as well...
on a side note, I would like to see the DoJ get Americans into the games, but that might be asking for a little too much today...

I had a couple of dealing with FTP support and it was always fast and helpful.

On the other hand, that was FTP as it was then, and while the name may remain, the staff wont necessarily be the same.

Although for sure I preferred the FTP software over all others (without question) for me it WASN'T ABOUT THE SOFTWARE so much in comparison to the tourneys they offered, the great satellites, & MTT-SNG's (the 45's, 'reg.' speed, $5's, $10's, $26's (< tokens FTW... satty up via those $8 token satties & play a '45'). Also the '$75's but out of my bankroll (but actually have a few $75 tokens laying dormant in my account). There's actually a poker forum that was developed largely due to the majority of it's membership playin' the 45's on FTP! (holding a bunch of competitions in them, etc.).
When I had to move to Stars (well... I didn't have to, lol).. I was so unenthused that I've rarely even played on there since BF.

I too have never experienced any problems with Customer Support but it could be improved a bit as far as 'speed' goes (not like many other pokersites I've dealt with online... ie. iPoker, intertops) & actually had a GREAT experience with them (they hooked my partner up with Gavin Smith for a Live HU challenge > $500freeroll... all expenses paid for a 3-day weekend in penthouse suite including airfare!!! What other pokersite support does that for ya??... oh & Stars Pro, D.Negreanu was on our table and actually signed my FTP hat, LoL.. FTP FTW!). Cashouts no problem either, but I'm not a US player & was prior to BF.

And on that note > MAKE SURE YOU KEEP THE 45-man 'reg. speed' SNG's!!!!!! These ROCKED!!! (was bread & butter for many an MTT player on that site)

IMO it was all about the KO turbo 90 mans with 3k starting, way better structures than FTP 180 mans, looking forward to grinding them again alongside MTTs!

on demand tournies were also pretty sick (the $2s), I learnt to play MTTs in them :)

If they really want me to play there again without me even looking at alternatives, they would do well to honor the FTP, ironman, and academy points and rakeback systems they had in place before they went down.

I had something like 75% rakeback lined up over 3 months as well as the cash equivalent of about $250 in FTP/ironman/academy points sitting there when the site went down in June. If they give me any promos or incentives that come close to getting near that I will most definitely keep playing with them.

If they erase all that and don't offer "welcome back" incentives, I'll play the occasional game here and there but believe me I'll be putting the bulk of my bankroll somewhere where it makes the most sense for me to play at.

I am surprised everyone thinks so highly of the FTP software; I much preferred PS. It is leaner and easier to multi-table. The FTP software had many distractions.

I didn't like it either - compared to pokerstars. But it was a million times better than any of the options US players have now lol.

I liked it way more than Stars, just found it way easier to play. That said, Stars didn't have the Nova theme back then so it'll be interesting to compare now!

Really doubt they're gonna honour the tickets and Ironman bonuses but I'll be very happy if they do. FTP satelites were a goldmine so hopefully they'll have all the same ones still. Player traffic might be an issue as alot of players won't trust them and maybe won't know about PS good rep. I much preferred FTP software too. PS has grown on me though so it'll be interesting to see how they compare when it's up and running.

On demand tournaments were the bomb (the $4s), lol. Wish I could play them when they came back, darn USA.

FTOPS was fun.
Mini-FTOPS was fun! (dreaming about FTOPS was also kinda fun, lol).

I'd like to see them bring back the WSOP Fantasy Contest!!!!
For me that made watching the wsop Events soooooo much more fun! Not because of the piddly freeroll entries I'd regularly win (or the FTP 'hats'... although I did enjoy winning a bunch of hats, lol), but just because of the competition of it all & working at trying to make the best picks possible for each event (Twitter helped. At least you could find out if the person was actually even playing in that event, lol.. unlike other years when it was a guessing game).

In the last WSOP Fantasy Contest I was ranked in 7th overall (prior to MainEvent), with top 100 on leaderboard qualifying for a special freeroll with winner getting a WSOP MainEvent pkg. Guess it'd be pushing it to ask about the running of this freeroll? hee hee

I liked FT muh more than Pokerstars because they had way more options for the players with small BRs. I do not know if i will like it now as much as before after playing on different sites but the picture with FT being the best remined in my mind.

After the UB scandal I swore I would never play there again if for no other reason than to send a warning to sites to keep there rooms in order. Such egregious violations of our trust should be met with the death penalty. To be consistent the same should apply to Full Tilt too, right? To be fair, in dollar values alone the lying and swindling done by the top brass at FTP dwarfed anything that happend at Absolute/UB by at least 10:1. And if GBT had succeeded in it's bid to buy FTP I might still feel that way. But as it turned out, I might have to reconsider my previous mindset.

While poker stars also made some questionable business decisions to retain access to the US market, they did separate player funds from operating funds, they did have a legitimate business plan as opposed to Tilts house of cards and they did pay their US customers back immediately; and now they're poised to do the same for all of Tilts customers (The DOJ will actually pay off the US customers, but it's ultimately coming out of Poker Stars pocket).

So yeah, given the chance (I'm American) I will play at Full Tilt again. What do i want to see? The software was top notch, better than Stars IMO but I would like to see more tournament options. I played the Sunday Million many times due to the great selection of satellites that ran on Sunday mornings. Tilt had them too but they were less frequent, uncreative and there were fewer buy-in options. Their selection of games was fantastic. I loved the 10 Game mix.

I also hope they still allow sites like PTR and OPR to gather data. I know I'm in the minority on this but I found these two sites, especially OPR, to be really useful in keeping track of my winnings (or losses) and I enjoyed being able to compare my results to that of the general player population. I know that's very Un Zen of me but I'm a poker player, not a monk and I have a competitive streak in me a mile wide.

I would also like to see Full Tilt, and all sites, be more open about such things as ownership and terms of service. Of course Tilt had a TOS that all players had to agree to but it wasn't worth the paper (server) it was written (stored) on. As far as the ownership was concerned, even before Black Friday nobody had any idea who actually owned Pocket Kings, the parent company of Full Tilt.

I guess this is all mute as living in the US, the biggest nanny state in the free world, I will probably never see my rottweiler avatar again, but we can always dream and I really do enjoy my live poker.

Oh yeah, Rakeback.
