New 5 Card Stud Hi/Lo Game Variation

I am trying to introduce a 5-Card Stud Hi-Lo Game in my local home game (10 players); only one rule:

1. The low hand is constructed from the lowest 3 cards in your hand, and to qualify they must all be wheel cards.

I call the game “Spokes”. So the nut low would be A-2-3; the only lows possible are
A-2-3, A-2-4, A-3-4, 2-3-4, A-2-5, A-3-5, 2-3-5, A-4-5, 2-4-5
and 3-4-5.

Do you think this game has merit or do you have any other ideas?

I steer clear of hi/low games in general. I like playing the highest hands possible; just seems better to me, for some reason. Sounds like a pretty interesting spin though

5 Stud Hi Lo

We've been playing 5 Stud Hi-Lo betting $1-3 for years. Very popular game in our friday night Dealer's Choice event. Another game is 5 Stud Hi-Lo with an exchange. Cheers, Greg , Tucson
