Maybe you aren't betting aggressively enough to force them out earlier?
I know your right... I know you may, want to try and trap them in to a hand with trips, but it only lets it self for a suck out win on there part...
You want them to pay to see the turn and river if you have a made hand, pros is not what you want to play at that level, they will take you out....
you want them to pay to see that card, and so when they miss there str8, and or flush you get payed and they get to see why they should not chase...
That sound right?

i feel the same way as you do buddy but you gotta move on and trap them
That gets them to see one more card for free and can mess you up in the end.. point in case i lost with trips 3 times to 2 str8s and 1 flush.

Exactly where are you playing? If you at the penny, nickle and dime tables people will play it like a freeroll or funny money game and fish more. Try moving up to the .25/.50 cent or more tables there's more poker, less, but never completely fish free poker played there.

I got slaughtered. I had KK 13 times and won only 6 of those hands. Is that possible? IS THAT POSSIBLE??? Sorry. It was the ugliest 3 buy-in downswing I have had in a long ass time. I ran up against a set with a big over pair 4 times (KK twice, AA once, QQ once). I got all in 7 times and lost 5. My money was in right only twice... It was ugly.

Yes, it is possible - it's called variance. Look it up.

Donks and fishes are the lifeforce of cash games. I always give them the impression that they are good players when they lose a hand. Playing against these type of players you have to think of yourself as the house. You are putting your money in when you are ahead and they are calling your bets with bad odds. It is like Vegas, they can beat you in the short run with bad beats but in the long run they are getting clobbered. So you want bad beats as long as you are not making mistakes.

Well places like these can put you on tilt fast. I'm one of those players that gets annoyed, but with good bankroll management, that's who you want to play with. I read an article from a full tilt pro that when you can be indifferent between winning and losing is when you can become a great poker player, meaning don't let emotions get to you. Also, play limit games. Limit games not only can teach you pot odds, but they also let you see more hands other players are playing with, making you a better reader in NL.

Every site has the same type of people. As long as there is internet poker or poker actually there will always be people that will pay to chase. These are the people you want to play against. Yes it sucks when they hit the river but you have to be willing to fold when you know they hit. And more often than not the will miss completely.

I agree the donks often do follow the river..

I agree the donks often do follow the river..but the bad beats got to be expected at times. I played in a tourney tonight ...albeit a freeroll and placed 4th...I won 2 bucks, then I almost took that money and placed in the 200k double deuce..came 22nd, on a rebuy...with only having a dollar I think I did pretty well. The previous post of watching your blinds and playing the right limits was right on the money..I play on UB too, I find there are much more bad beats there so you actually have to hold back a little even with a good hand like AA and wait till you know you have the best hand on the river. Anyhow, Gl...remember patience is the key!!

I feel your pain with the donks calling all streets then hitting their miracles on the river to rob you of your money. Be that as it may, they are the ones that probably contributed most of the money that is padding your bankroll right now. You always have to look for those calling stations. Why not try using something like handshq.com and import them in a manager to get a good feel on how many calling stations are at your table before you sit.

All the sites are the same for the most part but I think fulltilt has more players so therefore more donkeys so your odds are good for ending up playing with them lol patience is a big winner but sometimes they do get to you and you bet your chips even thought you shouldnt so take off a few days from playing it does help especially if your on a losing streak for some reason it works for me.

Sorry that you lost but I think you ned to come to terms with the fact that bad beas do happen. It is not just FT. It happens on all sites and it also happens live. I hope posting the blog got rid of your frustration and you can take some positives from it.

I try to stay away from Full Tilt Poker, even if I enjoy playing there. It's great playing against the best, but their bonuses absolutely stink. They only bonuses for new players. They mainly concentrate on television advertising to have people to come playing to their site. They don't give any bonuses to the players that play there everyday.

They do offer certain Iron Man events for players that are playing for real money everyday of a particular month. If you qualify it's like 2 weeks into the next month, there is usually a freeroll and if you win a couple in a row it can lead to some serious cash.

hmmm... i wonder how much you lost on FT to make you hate them like this??? hope your not playing on micro limits coz lots of those donks are scattered everywhere... if you want to play real poker you have to go to those low or higher limits instead.
