How does rake work on games with antes?

I know that you only receive RB for hands you played in, that involved a rake collection. However in ante games you are essentially in the hand because of that ante. Or do you have to complete in order for it to be considered in hand?

Varies by site but if it's just straight contributed method (not weight contributed) antes would be considered as putting $$ in the pot and therefor make you eligible for rb on the hand in play regardless of if you folded or not preflop.
