How exactly can they catch you? Lmao

I don't know how they catch you but they can. There are many recorded instances of people being caught, given lifetime bans, and having their funds confiscated. Google it or find threads on other poker forums.

Any chance you were gonna share that info on how to legally move to another country to play? As someone with nothing tying me to the states, I would be very interested on how hard it actually is.

I'm guessing you can't just AirBnB for a few months and open a bank account?

And on the topic of why bother, other than ACR being very shady and having the chance of your entire roll evaporating overnight and there being nothing you can do about, PS players have a huge advantage for improving their game because of the software.

Being able to look at what your opponent calls and mucks with on the river is a huge learning tool in the long run, and as far as I know only PS offers that.

In the time since I first posted this thread, I have learned some of the answers. Basically what I've heard is, you do not need to be a permanent resident in the country in which you're playing on pokerstars but you do need to prove to Pokerstars that you are residing in that country by giving them a home address and showing them a utility bill. I believe once you go through this process the first time, you can then play on PS in any jurisdiction in which it's legal indefinitely without hassle, even if you leave wherever you were staying.

I would think the AirBnB plan would work if you were staying for a few months and could use the AirBnB registration as proof of residence, but it's hard to say for sure. If you learn anything else, perhaps from speaking with PS directly, do tell.
