....and GG just signed Dan Bilzerian as an ambassador. Is there a more douchey fraudster in poker?

I presume that GG thinks its base will be unaware that Bilzerian, apart from being on perma-conman mode, just managed to run through at least fifty million of investors money in the company Ignite as he used the funds to support his personal lifestyle (the rented mega mansion etc. which never belonged to him). The funds have completely evaporated after a year and a half leaving the company bankrupt...

I noted GG was great software to play but juvenile in tone and felt aimed at teenage boys. Well, I believe Bilzerian's social media following is mostly teenage boys so I suppose its a good fit...

What a laughably bad choice on GGs behalf...
and his first tweet as an ambassador... epic fail, although hardly surprising

Although pokerstars is not very good as before and I know many players moved to GGPoker, I still prefer PokerStars. PokerStars is still a good site to play with many players, easily find a suitable tournament anytime, stable client, and various types of games.

Yup, and note Daniel Negreanu announced it on Twitter with excitement (biggest influencer in the world!) and once challenged about the idea said -

"He’s made more money playing poker than 99% of pros. You may need to redefine your definition as to what makes a player “good". Also, who cares dude?"

Seriously, does any 14 year old even believe the phnatom cash games nonsense anymore? His Twitter fee has subsequently been swamped with people essentially telling Negreanu where to stick Dan Bilzerian.

Right? Not to mention how he swindled investors out of their money when it came to investing in his half a** cannabis venture.

Very bad move from GG poker, would definitely agree.

Negs got bills to pay, he’ll say or do just about anything if the price is right.

I play on both and from what I`ve noticed, you need a larger bankroll to play on GG. Rather than favour one over the other I found that both have things to offer that the other doesn`t. The AoF games are good on GG and the choice of satellite games on Stars is good.

I’ve been a loyal Pokerstars client since day 1 but lately I have grown fond of GG poker. They have been upping their game in more ways than one . What does everyone think? Do you prefer GG or PS?

They are 2 different platforms, personally I like both.

Can’t do anything but agree with you! Thanks for the input.

According to reliable sources PokerStars wants to sign Mike Postle as their next ambassador :D

I read that he's already on there... using multiple screenames and a VPN, playing all stakes from 2nl cashgames to HighRoller MTT's

I don't play much on either but am open to playing more on both... but wanting to move more towards GGPoker. I really hope they expand the amount of micro/low stakes tourneys in the ... more freezeouts & less hypers too

I recently opened account at GG.
Didn't made depozit, won some money from scratch, firtsly throw those 0,25 daily free ticket, and then spin&gold and micro mtt's. Of course, still not enough to make withdrawal..but if i make some more money will i have problems with withdrawal cause i didn't made depozit?
Generally, i like GG, but also have to say that i moved there cause pokerstars left my country.
Software is ok, but also that river slow play is so annoying, can't believe they didn't get this yet, guess there is no player that likes that stupid thing.
Btw, played there spin&gold up to 1$, and mtt's up to 5$.

not going to leave PS yet, but I also like GG. for some reason game is going much easier there. although as many have said GG lacks variety of games and tournaments.

They are undoubtedly two of the best online poker rooms ... and I more than look for which is the best ... I have an account in both rooms ... and I try to get the most out of their promotions and freerolls ... and as my grandmother used to say ... "Never put all your eggs in one basket"

I've always liked ps for its user-friendly interface, but lately they are getting worse ...

I haven't yet given GG a proper go, nearly made my first deposit there this week as decided to.move most of my PS roll elsewhere but opted for 888 in the end.

Stars is ok for bankroll building from a small roll with the 25c & 50c multi table stt's like the 45/90/180 player games but once you have a roll to play MTT there are better options just imo the PS field sizes are far to large and personally don't have time to play 10+hrs in a tourney to hopefully make FT. I prefer to play tournies with less than 1k runners not many of them on stars.

Reason I chose not to deposit on GG was the lack of STT games and there not being many micro buyin MTTs on the schedule. I am sure it is great for those with bigger rolls or for cash players though.

Yes, you are all right, and i forgot to mention that; the biggest minus for GG is that they don't have SNG's in offer.
Many players like SNG's cause they don't last long, but long enough that you can use your skill, which is almost imposible in spin&gold, where you don't have post-flop game.
Huge minus for GG is that there is no SNG in offer.

not a fan of GG poker, no sit and gos, even my first deposit wasa supposed to get 100% match up bonus, but never recieved anything, like my increments are not moving, anyway, too much graphics for me, however, their RNG seems more natural than Pokerstars

Leaely started playing on GG...
I definitively like the look and feel of Stars better
and think Stars has more games going for people on micro stakes...

But diversity usually is a good thing, so i will continue to play a bit on GG.
And maybe i can win a bit in the CC freerolls there, so i can try to make my
way into some of their more expensive tournaments.

A new competitor for the big poker sites is probably not the worst thing that could
have happened.

I used to be a big fan of GGPoker but I've seen so, so many hands go the against the odds I've cut way back there.

GG has been growing a lot lately. I think today is much better than PokerStars when it comes to tournaments and mainly rakeback. If PokerStars does not revolutionize, it could lose first place in the world of Poker.
