OK I see.

It's merely because my laptop is shared between myself and my girlfriend so it’s easier sometimes if lots of programs are being installed and date save that we have our own separate place to save stuff. Therefore I have my own folder that contains all my poker stuff so I installed FTP thinking it would be fine.

I can see the logic.

I wouldn't do it like that, I would keep the program files together and separate only the data.

In fact I would store data on a separate partition, that way you can back up the data and OS separately.

But I can see what you were trying to achieve.

Would you recommend reinstalling any programs that were not saved in program files?

It wont effect the way that they run, its just sort of disorganised.
