My opinion on this :D

Microgaming often throws out all sitouts in freerolls that haven´t played a hand or didn´t log in during the 1st level of gameplay.

This is an option all rooms should have in freerolls that are easy to enter or easy to qualify for.

It takes less time for the players that want to play the freeroll.

Thats obvious time everyone can spend better and can be used to play other games and create more rake.

Also takes out an unfair advantage for the players let say , sitting on table with only sitouts , so can easily chip up opposed to someone sitting with couple of active guys on left and mostly play postflop out of position.

Making them points or even like 5 cents BI´s will probably also reduce sitouts drastically and improve the time the tours will take, make it also added games than so the buy ins will be added with the prizepool.

I liked it when Daily Edge tourneys had a 25 FTP buyin (less players + less sitouts = quicker tournament).

I can understand the logic for making them freerolls but introducing more tournaments with FTP buyins would be great (and I don't mean satellites). Something like those 2 weekly 100 FTP tournaments.

Agree 100%, it was much better to play those tournament with 25 fpp buy in , now it'd something like 4000 entrants paying top 90, so it's really hard to make it in the money.

Buy making it 25 fpp buy in i will play to accumulate those fpp , so generate more rake to the room; much more players will do that too, either i will generate only 35 fpp per month to get access to those freerolls.

Before Black Friday I loved playing at FTP. Unfortunately since the relaunch I've really had a hard time warming up to it again. It seems like the site is just too gimmicky now. Damn near every tournament style game is some sort of "multi entry, turbo, rush, rebuy, 2 hour late reg, shootout something or other". Whatever happened to straight-up 27plr SNG's (my old game of choice, btw)? Or any other non gimmick games? Any plans to bring those back or has FTP just become a silly skin for PokerStars?

also I loved the FullTilt before Black Friday, I loved the tournaments every 2 hours $ 150 in the pot. Unfortunately, FullTilt began to resemble poker stars.

Curious as to why all 55c mtt's have been removed on ftp, I know there used to be more but now the only one i can find is a turbo rebuy game?

Seems very difficult to find anything running or existing at all at the bottom on ftp these days, stt's hardly run when I'm on there and can't blame the sng 81 person 55c flips cause they don't really run much either. At least with the mtt's they would run being scheduled if they got the min players.

Just something i noticed recently as was dropping down to the bottom to rebuild the br there.

I am very Leary of Full Tilt and here is why I saw the movie BET FOLD RAISE an online poker story. Also even though things have been settled not one player has received any funds since 2011. Not only that but Phil Ivy Harold Lederer and the likes of Chris Ferguson ran the site into the ground for their own selfish benefit. How they did not go to Jail is beyond me. So I will excuse myself from ever playing their. It makes me sick to my stomach to see these crooks get a way with it while they made millions at players expense, Many people are after them that's why they are so quiet.

Hi Shyam,
I have a slight technical question that you might be able to answer for me. I've noticed that FTP has introduced blackjack into the whole lobby and as well as roulette a while back. However, I haven't been able to see any of them on my lobby. I'm from Australia so I'm not too sure if there are any rules or regulations in regards to having them for the Australian Audiences. Let me know whenever, cheers.

As for the VIP scheme, there are no current plans to change it for UK specifically, but obviously we may change it at any time in the future for many reasons.
Quoting myself here to give a bit of an update: It does look like the VIP scheme will be taking a hit in the UK (and a few other EU countries that will have VAT applied starting in 2015). The most likely form this will take is a reduction in the number of FTPs a player earns for each dollar raked (right now that number is 10 FTPs per $1 in rake). The details are still being ironed out, but we should have a proper update in December, with January 1 being the most likely date of implementation.

Re the edge freerolls I have a question on that. The bronze edge freerolls that take place on the weekends for the 1k T$ or 1k in cash tickets, why are these not available at higher levels of the edge status?
The original idea was that these were the players most likely to be interested in those freerolls, and they don't get other Edge rewards like the rest of the higher tiers, so this was their main extra perk.

Having said that, we'll be taking a look at all of our freeroll offerings at some point next year and I hope we'll be able to have a little something for everyone who has an interest in them.

One thing I can't find that is frustrating is a search function (as opposed to the filter) which would allow us to search by keyword, eg. "MiniFTOPS" or "Double Deuce", and be shown a list of tournaments which contain that. Is it there? Please make it so...
Yep, that doesn't exist, unfortunately. It's been a longstanding planned feature that just hasn't been high enough priority to get it through development. I'll keep pushing for it, though, and hopefully it's something we might see next year.

I recently tried to play on my tablet through the APP. When i hit tourneys it said I was not registered in any and there was no place/button to select my game or register. I tried to figure it out for about 25 minutes and missed my tourney. There was no place to view a home lobby or tourneys that were registering. very frustrating) Poker stars APP is very user friendly and I can easily register for tourneys or sit and goes.
There are no MTTs on the mobile/tablet App yet, only SNGs and Jackpot SNGs. If you were registered for a SNG, though, there should be somewhere in the app you can find it again and take your seat. Scheduled MTTs should be coming to the app sometime next year, though.

Yeah, the casino games are only available in certain markets, and Australia isn't one of them. Sorry (not sorry) about that!

Here is my take on the current freeroll structure:

1) Daily Edge

IMO you made a clear mistake when you changed the buyin for Daily Edge from 25 FTP to nothing.

Obviously it is good to motivate people to actually earn FTPs, 25 FTP might be too much but zero is definitely too little. Basically you demotivate people to play on FTP (!!!) because achieving Bronze by itself is way too easy and doesn't encourage traffic at all.

As a bonus, constantly having a huge number of situouts would be stopped if people actually had to buy in.

2) Bronze Edge

Bronze Edge freerolls are fine. They are perks for Bronze players and as such function correctly.

Maybe you should increase number of prizes a bit (from 90 to a bit more, lets say 200-250) to make them more appealing for newbies. This can be paid for via Daily Edge buyins (more traffic = more rake), 7 tourneys can pay for one easily.

3) 100 FTP tourneys

These are perfect.

4) Daily Freerolls -> $250 Weekly freerolls

I seriously think these are terrible for everyone. Those probably looked good on paper but I think they don't actually do much as far as traffic goes.

Additionally, I remember playing those Daily Dollar tourneys which were pretty popular and had FTP (or were they free?) satellites - presumably you cancelled those because of too large guarantees for Daily Dollar but this needs a serious review.

My main point is that freerolls should have an actual purpose, and this is to increase traffic by encouraging people to earn FTPs (= pay rake). You need to make a big number of small volume players motivated to earn some number of FTPs per week to get into those freerolls and the best way is to make them attractive.

On a addition to LD take on daily freerolls and traffic, back in days when you had $150 freeroll and round 1 freeroll they were full really often, sometimes in peak hours and weekends $150 game was full in first half hour of the registration... that is 7,5k people, now it is barely 1k people in those new round 1 games... About round 2 or weekly freeroll, it is pretty much the same for you to pay in new to game ticket as is in regular tickets but this way you have lot less people interested in playing these games... I dont think i ever played the new weekly freeroll, old weekly had 15k players easily, something is telling me that the new one dont reach these numbers....

Hey,

Long time fan of FTP. Was disappointed when your hourly 150 dollar free
rolls were phased out but I've recently taken a look at your micro offerings
and fine your Jackpot series quite entertaining, so I'm just writing to say
I think you guys did some good work there. And the On Demand Rush tourneys as opposed to regular sit and go's are fun.

So thanks FTP/

I loved it there also play ftp against black
Fridays. I miss these free tournaments with a prize of $ 150 every two hours. I'd wanted to come back to these tournaments. I miss them very

Last night I was playing some HU games and during a few of them I kept getting problems, it was the same problem each time, what was happening was that around every fifth hand I could only see 1 hole card and every few hands when I could see both hole cards there was a board card missing.

Very frustrating.

Hey just wondering if the fine folks at full tilt poker would consider reinstating the $2.25 27 person tournaments, as well as the $6.60 and $13 90 man KO tournaments, really enjoyed those games years ago wondering if there is a chance they could come back?

Yes! I asked about this earlier, and was told by the rep that there wasn't enough traffic in those formats to bring them back. I don't know what #'s he was looking at because I was always able to play two to three at a time with no problem finding more. Fingers are crossed for them to come back. Seriously, because there really is f*ck all else to play on that site anymore. Such low traffic that it takes hours to fill a STT SNG. Even the $3.30 ko 90 mans were good.

Unfortunately the only sng options are Rush od's and flipouts. And am I the only one who thinks that having 20 day 1's for the BLT is a joke?

Also find it sad that many of the posts itt are asking about the freerolls. Sure it sucks that the freerolls now are a joke, but ftp really has to get some games on the roster that will bring in some traffic before they can even think about offering any freerolls.

Hopefully the rep will take some of these concerns seriously enough and at least try to bring some games back that former regular players are asking for. And I really hope that they won't be bs rush multi entry crapfests like is the predominant theme as of late.

One note: I used to play lots of NLO8 / PLO8 tournaments in Full Tilt until they did put down most of non-micro ones. Usually mixing with other O8 tournaments in Stars. Once weekly 109$ PLO8 and NLO8 were canceled alongside other weekly tournaments I completely stopped playing in Full Tilt. Not coming back unless NLO8 / PLO8 schedule is revamped.

Hi, saw this on another forum.

How can you join this promo or where is that special page? (see below)

How to play the FTOPS XXVII Main Event for free
Satellite qualifiers are not the only way for Full Tilt players to avoid the $635 buy-in to the Main Event.

Thanks to a promotion named Avatar Heads Up, the poker room plans to send a good number of online players to the FTOPS Main Event for free, as long as they can be lucky (or smart) enough to place a (free) bet on the right avatar at least once in twelve days.

Every day, from Sunday, Nov. 30, to Thursday, Dec. 11, two avatars will be matched up on a special page published on Full Tilt’s website.

The players who correctly pick the avatar that wins the next day’s match, will be entered into a random draw for an FTOPS Main Event ticket.

And since the promo is set to run until Dec. 11, this means that there is going to be a total of twelve total tickets up for grabs and twelve chances to win. And again, let me remind you, this is all of free.

How does it work? In case you wonder how the scoring work and how can an avatar win over another, here’s what Full Tilt has to tell you:

The highest finishing position for any player donning one of the competing avatars will be averaged for that day’s events.

For example, if the day has two FTOPS events, and a Shark finishes 6th in the first event and 8th in the other, then the mark the arch-rival donkey needs to beat is 7.0.

Possibly an odd question, but for events like the FTOPS has it ever perhaps been looked at or discussed to work out an arrangement to run satty's on stars for the FTOPS events?

Just a thought that given the traffic on stars vs ftp, and both now being sister sites in the same umbrella, that it would be a value to both and potentially boost ftp traffic as well in the meantime. Just a thought as was looking at satties for FTOPS and just thinking if it had the access to traffic like stars does there could be 1-3$ non-rebuy satties even to the 2-600$ events.....vs the satties for them now on ftp all being 5$+ and rebuys (many monster rebuys if I recall).

On the same side of things, maybe ftp could implement a shootout satty like stars has for many of its sizable events like the sunday million....36man shootout for like 8$, 1st getting a ticket and others on the ft a share of remaining funds to what it works out....not hypers though, i love the shootout satty's but hate that they are hypers when it comes to them on stars.

Anyhow just a couple of thoughts, thx.

Actually, yes. We did it once, and I think it got us an extra 2 players in the Main Event. :)

We will be doing some more advertising of FTOPS in general on Stars this FTOPS than we did last FTOPS, so at least those players will get a reminder.

Lots of satellite changes are coming in the first few months of next year, and we'll be collecting lots of feedback during that time, so keep it coming.
