yeah hotwings what does that mean, now if I log on academy site it tells me I have a gold access(before it was silver) but still no points lol!!! I am ready to write to the support and ask for " pls make me smarter" to understand why I passed the tests but not on the list an no points yet ... first I thought my english language skills are not good enough to read through this ..now I read it in my mother language german and still have no glue oh my ....hahaha

Your level of access has to do with how many full tilt points you have accumulated. I read the number somewhere, but I believe to get gold status you have to earn 500 full tilt points in one month. In order to get Academy points you have to go to the "pro challenges" page in the Full Tilt Academy and click "Make this my Active Challenge". Once you do this you have to complete the different tasks that are specifically identified to earn academy credits.

yep, its free to join. you just need to have an FTP account. you can earn credits by completing the challenges they have. hopefully they will open the store soon so we can see what they're worth

my guess is that each academy credit will be worth 1 full tilt point.. which is not very much. unfortunate truth is that the challenges can be completed at the lowest stakes possible. so they'd be giving up too much value to the micro stakes players if they made the credits worth a lot. so basically if you play higher than .05/.10, my guess is that they won't be worth much to you, compared to the time it takes to accumulate them :(. but this is just the pessimist in me and i could be wrong

i was thinking the same thing, i just figure since full tilt points are worthless these would be too

i mean i have the challenges on and if they happen to complete so be it cuz im not going out of my way to complete them

Also got the e-mail. Haven't signed up yet but from the opinions stated in this thread, think I'll give it a shot. One more reason why this forum is beneficial - you can get the lowdown here first.

1)From what I understand if you qualify for the sit-n-learns you will be automatically entered into that months freeroll. If you don't show up to it they just blind you out. It sounds like the tournaments that ran this month had less than half of the players in them, because no one knew exactly what times they were as there was no real announcement or no e-mail reminder or anything for players. (Use ctrl + R to find out what tournaments you are registered for while in the FT lobby)

2)Not sure, but if i understand your questing as being "Is there a limit to the number of sit-n-learn freeroll tournaments you can play in a month, then I believe the answer is "No"...there is no limit. Again this is just my understanding, you might be better off asking this question on the FT forums.

3)A FT moderator posted in the forums on monday (2 days ago) that he hopes to have preliminary pricing out by the end of the week, and then open the store up in 2-3 weeks. Hopefully he is right, but then again on March 10th he made a post saying the store would hopefully be open soon and well...that was a month ago.

4)Yup you can switch challenges. I have 4 challenges up right now where i have 2-4 things completed on each one. I've found that for me the pre-flop challenge is the only one I can complete without making an effort.

5)As of now, no. The only way to get points is to complete the challenges. Each one can be done 10 times and there are...I think 6? challenges right now. It was stated that sometime within the next week or so they should be releasing 1 or 2 more challenges, and it has also been stated that they will try to release new challenges every few weeks.

If anyone has anything else please feel free to ask...I've been studying up on these challenges quite a bit and hope that the store offers some good deals! If the store is at least halfway reasonable this should be something good for everyone. I mean...you basically get stuff for not doing anything out of the ordinary.

Thanks Wes- for 1) and 2) - I'm wondering if its worth trying to get into all the snlearn freerolls in one month-(think they're all sats into a $5k freeroll?)- if you qualify for the $5k freeroll 4 times can you carry forward 3 tickets for future months' $5k freeroll?

Totally agree the preflop challenge is the best one to try (10 times lol)

ty Wes747 for your post, thanks also to CryingAmy, what I found out in each of the sit and learn you have only 1 chance to qualify for the monthly 5k tournaments, if you fail... well you can repeat them over and over but passing them then it wont get you in the 5K tournament, the challenges only bring you the points for the academy store whenever it will be opened. They wont give a notice per mail that they have registered you for the tournaments, I just found it out couple minutes before they started thats why a lot of players didnt play and got blinded out, so I will only do 1 or 2 sit and learn every month to get just in 1-2 freerolls, why should i play 5 at 1 day.
The academy is a great thing to learn more and get more experience, pokerstars has something called Intellipoker www.intellipoker.com but its not far as good as the academy...
and btw Happy Easter to all Cardschat members!:)

ace- you win entry to a satellite (top 100 get entry into $5k freeroll)

been searching the Ft forum and you cant 'store' entries so no point qualifying twice....

reckon I'm going to try and qualify for 5/6 a month and hope thats enough to get into the $5k

completed the pre-flop challenge 3 times so far (playing $0.05/0.10)- just hope 4k points (if I complete 10 times) is enough to get something in the store (mini would be nice! lol)

even manged to make a bit of cash for once! (and $20 coming from the take2 tomorrow!)

Had a look at the FTOPS challenges- tempting but think they're a bit beyond me....

Coming back to the mini- reckon I could complete all the challenges for that (but guessing you'll need to complete them all and they'll introduce some pretty impossible ones like win the $1 $10k mtt (you'd have to win it 10 times lol!)

I just finished the pre-flop challenge 10 times. After the 10th time I keep clicking "restart this challenge" or whatever and then the page loads and the same box pops up....theres no way to see that i've done it 10 times, but I switched to a new challenge and now pre-flop isn't even an option for me. The bankroll one is too tough, mastering the bubble and the sng one are for sit in gos that i hardly play....so looks like i'm going to have to do the power of position or that one by harmon.

According to the FTPAcademy guy from Full Tilt the store should have preliminary pricing out within the next few days. He said by the end of the week and he said that on monday/tuesday...so to me end of the week is Sunday (today).

No one seems to have any clue as to how much the credits will be worth, so for now I'd say don't try too hard to get them if its going to affect your play. Winning money at the tables is going to be far more profitable than completing these challenges.

Wes- surely if you withdraw most of your cash then the bankroll challenge is pretty easy? (lol!)
