Full Tilt eliminates the old classic view of the lobby

Not so. See post #16, and then #18 to see what I did. WVHillbilly explained how to do it. It's no work at all to rename the MIA file to MIA1, so Full Tilt software will never find it. It's a little more work to get a custom picture. You have to resize a pic, rename, and use the MIA file after creating an MIA1 file (containing the original MIA file contents) for backup. If you really wanna do that and have trouble, I'll be glad to do a step by step for ya. I was a classic view fan too.

Well thanks dive and WVH for that, no longer need to see those stupid pictures and ads. I guess it wasn't really the pictures though its more the lobby size in general and with those removed theres still just a big blank space there. Im on a 15" laptop and the lobby takes up the whole screen, its pretty much the same whether maximized or normal.

...i kept on hitting that new button that is on everyones Avatar saying you are a great player or what ever the hell it is.

You can fix that by going to Options > Badges and changing the drop down box to "Display badges without links" or "Hide badges". Then either the badges won't link to the website when you click on them (accidentally or otherwise) or they won't be shown at all.

Doesn't really matter what the situation is as long as the site is still up and running then theres no real need for worry about things such as that.
I never used the classic view anyway.

Arghh - I always hated this view and only used it for the few times I played rush. I am totally tilted and so happy I moved back to pokerstars for my main games!!!!!

Full Tilt has always been a massive fail on tournament lobby compared to Pokerstars - even with the old classic view. I can barely stand to go there now lol.

The Batches are lame... specially the T batch, everyone has that one... so what's so special about it...

but I felt this was coming, from seeing the guys that did the ironman challenge and had that batch on them... am sure the software guys thought why not make batches for everything else...

I used to use that before they got rid of it. It was a bit easier on the eyes as far as looks but I have to say that the new(er) version is WAY easier to navigate w/ a lot more options to choose from to help w/ the navigation to find everything.

For everyone saying that they hate the new view and they desperately want the classic one back, what, exactly is the problem? What have you lost that you have to have back?

I ask partly out of morbid curiosity, and partly because if y'all are going to be sending complaint e-mails to Full Tilt demanding the old view back it'd help if you told them what your specific problems were. I pretty much guarantee you nothing will be done if the e-mails that get sent contain the same level of discussion that the majority of the one-line "bring it back the new view suxorz" posts in this thread have.

I'm quite fond of the new Lobby Layout. It simplifies game selection utilizing the Buy In filters. Whats interesting is the customized Side Bar.

Tried this, cannot change it from 'mini view', this new lobby sucks so bad I'm done there till it changes. Can't even find a PL08 sng at all.

There are always features being added and taken away. I wish they would have left this one alone. It's not awaful and I have gotten use to it by now. Now that I'm use to it if they changed it back I would probably gripe then to lol.

The fix for that was discussed above - go to Options > Badges in the lobby and change the drop down box to either "Hide badges" or "Display badges without links".

I like that at least you've got a specific complaint though. Anyone else able to articulate what exactly it is they don't like about the changes?

my opponents...!!!

That is not good at all, because it gives info about the player...

I don't want to give mine...

...hope they will change it...!!!
