do you think that is good that 12000 players are allow to play a satelite to another freeroll and were only 99 qualify for the 2000 freerolll???? please!! less than 1% qualify, and if you are luck and qualify you have to play another freeroll with 5000 people to try to cashed something good!!!
creo que estas equvocado andres....
but i agree with these comment
"i like the idea of freerolls with money" actually there are freerolls with money.... the eightly grand freeroll and the pokercast freeroll.... also the weekly round 2 were you need a ticket in order to play... but 12000 players... no way!
yes but i focused on "it´s better 12000 players and 99 tickets than 10000 players and 27 tickets".
i obv would like they change the system, but im just being real.. i dont think they would change the WR2 tourneys for cash freerolls.. at least in the inmediate future.

that is indeed a boatload of people. Even though I havent played in those giant freerolls that much, i have heard that it takes about 5 hours to be in the qualifying zone. Well FTPs freerolls take about 4 hours before the money, so in retrospect it isnt really that bad. I think it is easier to build a bankroll at FTP rather than Pstars. Well, GL!

I have played in the large freerolls...but in pokerstars defense if you are in the top 99 finishers you are not committed to a future dated specific tourney. I now have 4 unused tourney tickets to play on a rainy day whatever weekend I choose. :)

Hold on tight and hope that the poker all in gods are smileing on you if you are goign to play freerolls on poker starts. It only takes 1 idiot makeing 1 idiot call to end your day and as was said previously even if you do make it to a tickewt its just to go thru the whole thing again I have played in them and my best finish was 35 th in the second round alot of work for just a couple of bucks,

i guess that is pokerstars way of thanking all the people who play there. they obviously feel no need to offer anything to entice new people to their site. this thread is advertising them for free as an example. :p

I actually like playing in these "Big" tourneys. When I'm playing ring games on other clients, I'll run pokerstars in my background and play all the freerolls I can. When I feel like i'm on tilt I can take a break from my cash tables and "work out my shiiisshh" on a table that means absolutely nothing. I've won at least 30 round 2 tickets from the hubble tourneys, but only raked about $5 for placing in one of those tourneys.

i have cashed in these 3 or 4 times earlier this year, but lately it seems i get down to 200 or 300 left and things just south. lotta time spent just to get a ticket for another large tourney. good option if you have time to kill, but i would rather read a book:deal:

I find the pokerstar freerolls good for when you have alot of time on your hand and if your bored ...they take very long to play but they can be pretty fun if you make it a long way into the tournament. i made it into the 2nd round freeroll once but didnt do anything in round 2 ..after that i gave up on those freerolls ...

and also those freerolls starts every one hour so if the maximun people registered in those tournament decrease to 5000 if you couldnt register, then at the next hour you have another!!!!. except for the eightly grand satelite i dont understand why 12000 people play a freeroll in order to qualify for another lol

Now that I think more about it, in general the PokerStars freerolls are a pain to go through, but they have some special freerolls that can make up for it.

Cowboy8112's post reminded me that for this year's WSOP Main Event, PokerStars gave away something like 80 packages worth $12,500. Of course you had to survive two tournaments to win the package, but apart from FullTilt, I don't recall any other poker rooms offered a freeroll for a $10,000 buy-in tourney.

Where did you get the 80 figure? A couple months ago I was wondering which site gave the most wsop tickets. It was PokerStars by far. But I believe the number was several hundred, not just 80. But you're wrong about no other poker rooms offering $10,000 tickets. Almost all of them offer WSOP packages.

lot of play little pay

I've played the freerolls their and yes to the one guy asking if I have ever won a freeroll. I win tickets to the next freeroll. It takes a long time and a few all ins streak to make it. I just played two tickets this past weekend I have two tickets left. I will play them the next time I get a weekend off as they are only on saturdays and sundays. The first ticket I lost, the second ticket I made $1.00 LOL I took the dollar to the cents limit table and turned it into $1.20 then made out to a sit and go. Won three in a row 1st second and third gouing up a level each play as I could. Then once I had $15.00 I played in the $3 buy in $40,000.00 guaranteed another $3 to rebuy when I went all in at second to last position with AK to be beat by last position with AA, what's the chance of that??? --- then another $3 to double re-buy then $3.00 to add on at first break. I came in like 740th place Pay started at 550. I lost it all but went for a good roll. All that out of my $1.00 freroll winnings. It was fun while it lasted.

I never could really do much in those big freerolls on PS. Did ok in a couple way back when, but I pretty much stay out of them now. The private freerolls are much more fun, lot less people. I play in a couple of those every now and then.

Its not worth the time unless you want to spend all day playing for an entry into another tournament. I think in the long run, it makes more sense to play smaller table tournaments. Your poker earnings per hour will take a big hit by playing those insane 10K ppl freerolls. There are other fish in the sea.
