Do you think PokerStars will ban the use of HUDs too?

I think they won't. PS is room for the professionals. And the professionals are those who use the HUD

I dont like huds, the only reason i used it before coz everyone was. but for me it also destroys my game, coz sometimes you can over analyze thing for the worst.

Over time they will ban HUD, in a year or two... It's obvious, they are doing everything to make the regulars leave. You can’t immediately make limit on 4 tables, cancel rakeback and ban HUD, it should be done gradually and they do it...

I hope they will at some point. They should let you download your hh into any poker software, but your opponents should remain anonymous, so you can analyze and improve your own game. Huds scare casual players, which are the largest population in poker.

HUD is just a tool visualizing information that every player already have in their hand history. As any tool it can be very powerful if you know how to use this information or ruin your game if you don't. There are free HUDs (easy poker hud is one example) so everybody can use it if he/she wants. I do not see reason to ban HUDs - if somebody wants to invest needed time and money to use HUD properly it is ok to have this edge.

I see another approach which can suit both sides (pro and anti hud) and this is to add option to separate pc from mobile clients. In mobile devices usage of HUDs is not possible. You can just have separate databases for mobile and pc client users and at later stage even different lobbies with different tournaments.

PokerStars recently changed the max numbers of tables you can simultaneously play on cash games (from 24 to 4 only), and the reason for that was to keep the game's ecosystem sustainable for all players, so players that play just for fun, can still find it enjoyable

Party Poker for the very same reasons banned the use of HUDs, do you think PS will do that to? How do you feel about not allowing players to use HUD?




look I'm finding it interesting .. since I never used huds effectively but I already use some and it is very advantageous ... I noticed that a certain hud on ACR has more features than on PS for example ... a sign that they were already taking some action on that .. but for me it doesn't change much I don't like playing many screens the game gets stale and no fun ...

I use poker tracker 4, I really like the support software, I am rooting for it to take a long time to happen.
The only HUDs I know are

Poker tracker 4
Holdem maneger
Jivaro

HUDs cannot dynamically change depending on any information about the current state of the game, except for the format of the game or nicknames of opponents. For example, changing statistics displayed based on the size of the stack or position at the table is prohibited.

It is allowed to use ordinary static HUDs, which do not change during the distribution.
Objectively, the question should be raised not about the prohibition of the HUD, but about the prohibition of positional and dynamic HUDs.
What essentially PokerStars did.
