I would say play wherever you feel more comfortable everyone has their own preferences it does help to see what others like because they point out things you might not have noticed but ultimately it's all about you and your comfort zone

I play both. Like cash at Borvada and tourneys at Carbon.

cashouts for ROW players at Carbon are really fast. I always liked Merge software for a long time now. Only problem is the 3/6 being the higgest possible limit :(

If you're playing ROW at higher stakes than 3/6 (though, is this 3/6 limit or NL600? HUGE difference) don't play US sites, honestly. In fact you can't go far wrong just sticking to Stars, though ipoker sites are pretty juicy.

Played Bovada for the first time yesterday in a CC freeroll.
Not bad, but like the Carbon UI better. Hopefully I'll be able to
get my HH off Bovada....

Carbon showing each player's percentages when the hands are going to a showdown makes for a roller-coaster ride sometimes, like getting slapped in the face with a dead fish.

55% post-flop (AA, come on and hold up for me baby, you can do it)
98% post-turn (YAY I'm gonna triple up YIPPEE)
0% post-river (nooooooooo........)

I've signed up for Bovada because of the freeroll club but I haven't played on it yet, I'm not a big fan of how the graphics look but I'm looking forward to trying the anonymous tables.

I've found the HUD on Carbon immensely useful as a newer player to get feedback on how I was playing and I think it's made a big difference so far, I didn't like getting tagged with the "fish" and "calling station" categories so I made some changes pretty quickly and it's helped a ton.

Bovada is better for cash games. I don't play in tourneys other than freerolls.

I set-up an account at Carbon a couple of months ago. The declined my visa card a couple of times. I contacted support via e-mail. At first they said the card must notbe good for foreign transactions. Once I told them that I've used the card both in foreign countries and for foreign purchases they said that they were having problem with their processor. They suggested I use Western Union.
Has anyone else had this type of problem? What are others doing to fund their Carbon accounts?

The smiley faces in chat certainly are some of the most interesting ones I seen.

like any other site, bovada has its' ups and downs. bovada will get you paid relatively quickly[7-10 business consistent],however the variance on that site is unlike i've ever experienced ANYWHERE. maybe b/c the players are so bad you get it in good so often and experience more bad beats?? idk something doesnt feel right at times.

bovada - many medium to high priced SNG's.
carbon - mostly micro and low stakes SNG's.

they both have similar level tournaments.

bovada - everyone is anonymous, so you won't know who you are playing from game to game.
chat is just in a corner box, i don't know if anyone even uses it.

carbon - uses standard screen names
chat is very sophisticated. speech bubbles come from the actual players seat position. and many humorous smiley emoticons are available to express your sentiments quite precisely

bovada - the only table customization is the background color, and the bet amounts are in very tiny text
carbon - you can customize EVERYTHING about the table: background design, table color, rail color, card colors. and bet amounts are big and easy to see.

bovada - Hand history can't be read by most normal card replayers
carbon - Hand history in standard format, can be ready by card replayers

bovada - difficult to see what place you are in in tournament (need to scroll down the list to find your name)
carbon - shows your position prominently in tournament lobby screen (e.g. 2/62)

I prefer all the features of carbon. But I still play on bovada because I like the mid to high SNGs

I have just started to play on carbon after depositing and so far it seems nice. I completed the prework to deposit on bovada but I didn't want to split my bankroll up so I might try on there eventually.

I like Bovada, easy to deposit. Not many freerolls as some sites. Bovada has a very clean look. You can also find consistent action depending on what games you play.Anonymous tables, I kinda like that.

Just can't play at Bovada , hate the format , no notes or player names as well as no seat choice.

that's my biggest complaint on Bovada. plus they dont offer reload bonuses

You can just look in the upper right corner for this.

I would say Carbon has more positives than Bovada. I don't really like anonymous poker, so that's a big reason why I like Carbon more. It's nice to know who you are playing against, especially in certain game types. For example, if you play a lot of sng's, it's nice to know who you are up against.
