Sorry I check the forums just about every day but have not come back to this thread. I just recently requested a payout on bovada the 10th of this month and was sitting at my door when I returned from vacation today. It was shipped in 5 days! Record timing since Ive been a member.

To answer your questions I usually play 50NL 6 max hold em. Doing about 2-3 tables at a time. Sometimes i play in the occasional 6 max sitngo, which I used to play a lot of. There is usually more traffic in the ladder times of the evenings, East coast time, into early morning.

I dont mind the anonymous players really because it dosnt create a strategic advantage for anyone. Good luck though making a decision if you already have not and if so I hope youre crushing the tables.

I would say play wherever you feel more comfortable everyone has their own preferences it does help to see what others like because they point out things you might not have noticed but ultimately it's all about you and your comfort zone
well there is my deuce cents

Hate Bovada:

-Anonymous tables, hate it.
-No HUD. Some wouldn't play online without. I'm neutral.
- No auto seat preference, manual select.
-Note taking on players only good for that game - hate that.
- # of players and game selection more limited.
-the old site sent me a bad check, bounced like a super ball.

I like merge sites (I'm a usa player) but their payouts are slow.

what do you like about bovada over carbon?
Just curious. Trying to decide on a final home... and I'm currently torn between these two options (I've gone back and forth several times thus far xD)
I have not played on either of these. Why don't you just play on both of them?

I've been a member of Bovada since June with no deposit problems, the game is fluid for the most part...with a few software issues, it is still one of the better cash sites that I've played on.

high stakes low stakes

I don't trust bovada. Bovadas policing of the games was already bad and now it just got easier for the cheaters. Bovada could easily have a bunch of superusers and nobody would ever know. bad beats are crazy there to, I see quads>trips regularly, seems to be standard there. But, overall I think there software is great, just wouldn't play high stakes there.
i dont know if i would feel comfortable playing any stakes till i can get a good feel of the site through free tournaments alot of illegal stuff from the famous sites has saddened the internet online playing.i know nobody wants to waste real money.glad to see all the news here on cardschat.:jd4:

I'd say u should choose Carbon Poker due to the variety of games and the traffic they have, because of it's software ,it's vip program,it's promotions .I played there for four years and still playing:)....it is true the withdraws take longer than lets say pokerstars ( i use an e-wallet and it usually takes 3-5 days to withdraw )but they always paid..i hope this helped u in your decision :)..gl and see at the tables

Are you really playing $35 sngs with a ~$200 roll?

Man, I must really be a BR nit. I thought playing a $15 hyper was crazy with my roll.

NO...If you're referring to my current roll no. I havent played any 35 sngs. I did, however, disregard some logic and played 10$ sng's with <20 bi's. I was playing 35 sngs with any $500+ br. I've been fortunate enough in the past to not have to stick to any solid brm. Starting to get into it since I've been here tho

Prefer Bovada because I win more on that site.:) Really for the stated reasons; reliable cashout, no card shark stats, to me it plays more like live and less like bingo in mtt's. Probably depends on what you like to play. 4 table max is a problem for some. But not for me. good luck

Got money at both sites - hardly ever play at Bovada(probably should cash out)
Bovada- No HUD. Some wouldn't play online without. I'm neutral.

- # of players and game selection more limited.

Although there is no "preferred seating" you can choose what seat you want to sit at fairly easily on bovada. (just right click).

Note taking on players only good for that game... yea I dislike that.
Have you ever tried cashing out on carbon? That's my biggest concern.... I've heard "horror" stories xD

They have preferred seating in settings now, go to Preferences/GamePlay settings and underneath that it says gameplay setting/seating and voila

Bovada payout is fastest I have found.
Carbon was slowest, if ever.
More 'fish' on Bovada since I win there more frequently.
Cannot deposit on Carbon with visa.

Bovada is easy money compared to other sites. You can take notes on players and tag them, give them fake names and when you play against them again you look at your notes. I like that no huds are allowed, Holdem Indicator works on Bovada.

I used to rate FTP as the best by a long street.Since Carbon became an option I now have the choice of two very good sites.Rate the HUD on Carbon as a huge plus and also the DON option. Also the games with fellow Cardschat opponents makes me continue to be a Carbon fan.

Still rate FTP high for the variety of games and player number it offers.

Also the soft razz players on FTP have helped me add 10% to my bankroll.

As a side note... Software and games offered don't mean anything if you can't get your money off safely and reliably..

As for now I would have to say Bovada because Carbon does not accept players at this time from the state that I live in.

I just requested my first cashout from Bovada. Has anyone ever had issues with cashing the checks at a US bank? What bank are their checks cut from?

I ask because I read in their "Cashier" section that they recommend depositing the check through an ATM. Thought that was a weird suggestion.

I would choose Carbon, Bovada just has to much stuff missing from their software for me to play there. I finally put in my first deposit on Carbon and even though I'm down some cash I really enjoy playing there, the software is actually really good in my opinion.
