I really don't see the big issue with the player numbers thing. It forces you to focus on who you're playing instead of some "helping hand" software telling you about how they've played a particular hand before.

Each tournament is unique and your reads on certain players have to come from that game instead of some game/hand before.

Well seeing as how its really not possible to mass multi-table and win consistently without a hud, there's a pretty valid opposition to your argument. But to each his own.

Think about a live poker game with masks and voice altering devices.

If you play a live poker game at your favourite room, do you not recognise regulars and know their tendencies?

Its just not as easy to take advantage of experience playing with people you know.

Like I said before, you can't use your computer software to record the decisions players make and record those decisions. It puts everyone on a pretty much even plane as far as making reads depending on who you're playing against.

You don't know if I'm Phil Ivey or just some donkey.

It's more fair IMO.

I don't get what you're saying. Say you and I play at a live table with 9 players. Say you play 100 hands with me and then you leave. Then you come back 2 minutes later. I know who you are. That is part of poker. Bovada lets me believe that you are a wholly different player. That's not. It's dumb imo. My opinion is irrelevant because I can't play there but I don't agree with their system.

Bovada does have a notes feature that allows you to record info about players. That info stays with them for the duration of the tournament. You can even color code by play style. :p

Thats nice if you ONLY play large mtts. But I think JW made his point pretty well about it being unrealistic compared to poker everywhere else.

As a side note, I do play at Bovada for just about every other policy they have. Just wish more players would comprehend and speak up about this unnecessary, unique feature. Maybe then they would be interested in doing something that would increase traffic.

Makes it easier for Bovada to allow bots. Somebody needs to fill those micro cash tables.

Haven't played there since they started this crap and wouldn't even if they were the only site available. Ban the software if you want but the anon tables are ****ing idiotic.

sorry Becky but that is all just crap. bovada is losing players like because of that system plain and simple.the system does not protect anybody accept the the site bots and shills. if this is a poker site then cater to poker players. your unwillingness to change when so many of your customers complain reeks of dishonesty in a business where trust is hard to come by to begin with. any bussiness should cater to there customer base this system simply does not , thus all the complaints.

So reading kmb's post made me want to go back and look at Becky's response (here- https://www.cardschat.com/forum/pok.../bovada-poker-payout-204740/post-1838858.html) First time I've seen it.

:eek::eek: Personally, at least once a week my boss will say something to me that shouldn't be shared with anyone. Let alone the customers your co. is announcing as unimportant. That response literally translates to: We've decided to make more money by turning away the average player and making our software more appealing to bad or "depositing" players (ie. ppl with gambling problems).

Seems a little Full Tilt-esque to me. Like you guys are spending money you don't have. It's pretty simple, Rake = Revenue. You guys are an escrow for our funds and you collect a rake for your service. It's these winning players who make your ideal market keep depositing. Traffic is everything and you can't justify making business moves that turn players away. How could you guys make such a statement to the poker community?

Bovada

I mostly play live games at the local card room and a few times a year when I go to LV. I used to play a lot on line until it got shut down. I have Hundreds of Thousands of hands under my belt and I've never seen so many unbelievable bad beats than I've seen at Bovada and I have a hard time believing that it can be random.

It's good and bad. Bovada is nearly 3x the size of the next U.S. room. Alot of people will take the convenience of being able to even at times being paid the same day and checks usually under a week. Browsing and playing at the same time, didn't mean to call out a old post, whatever.

It happens everywhere, Bovada is legit.

Bovada is on my blacklist at the moment. There's something fishy going on over there. Bouncing checks and denying that the check's bad when it's sitting right in front of me with the rejection stamp on it (sent them scans of the check like they requested to no avail). Since then, they have sent me the same copied/pasted response over and over telling me the check is good and I should maybe use someone else's account to deposit the rejected bounced check. So if it is worth it to you to deal with a payout for over 3 weeks, then Bovada is the right choice. If you value your time and hate being dicked around, find another casino.

Really latley there has been alot of negativity to the bodog/bovada site.
I dont know about much but in my honest opinion it is still one of the best sites out there that I have foiund and have nothing negative to say about them.
I have heard alot about the anonimity issues but again I have never seemed to have a problem beating the games on there(they acctually seem very soft seats).
I am mostly A mtt player and enjoy the tournaments often offered on there and A good deal of money playing them on a weekly basis as I have since I found the site after black friday years ago.
I get A steady withdraw from them usually on a monthly basis or bi weekly basis and usually use western union or money gram and have never had one issue with that.
Three weeks ago I got two courier checks sent to me for a sizable amount, deposited into my account without any issues what so ever.
I have heard several major banks have had problems in the past with international checks but as for myself I have yet to experiance anything negative with bodog/bovada.

hate it

I personally cannot stand bovada.s anonymity. Theres no way to keep track of players, the dumb ones, the ones that shove with nothing, etc. I think that should be changed immediately...

I like Bovada, and I like the anonymous tables. Short term note taking vs metadata isn't as predictive, but the games are reasonable for learning and practice plus the Sunday tourney scene is good. Plenty of other sites to play if you just want to use your HUD. They've always been responsive to my questions when my connection or computer is glitchy although sometimes I swear it's on the bovada end. Also, my biggest leak is sports betting so I don't have to go to another site to get my fix LOL.

customer service guy at bodog, site is crooked

just had a interesting conversation with bodog support, I asked the guy do you swear to God you dont use house players, he kept sayin he swears they dont but when I asked to swear to God he would not. He was scared to swear to God, so that leaves me with a puzzled conclusion because I have been bad beaten there so many times with great cards more than any other site by miles.
