Yah the game is wayyy better now that you can't take notes & have no way of tracking whether players are colluding against you.
I find it way more interesting now that most of the game of poker has been taken out of.... well.... errr.. the game of poker. It's cool watching for tendancies in others & looking to exploit them & then not knowing if the guy that sits down on your table isn't just the guy that had just left secs. before.

Since BoDog took away my $2 beginnners tourneys, I decided to check out their cash tables. But, either I have something set wrong or their software is lame.

1. Is it possible to see the full tables?
2. Is there a waiting list for tables?
3. Is there a way to save your filter settings so that you don't have to uncheck things EVERY time you get out and then back into their software?
4. Is there a way to set your default seat--so that when multi-tabling you can easily switch between tables and not have to hunt for your seat?

My guess is that the answer is NO to all of my questions and yes BoDog Software is LAME! But, if there are any of the questions that are yes, please enlighten me!

5. Should I withdraw any funds I have left and delete bodog off my hard disk?

When the update was announced most of us thought, well, at least they can't make it any worse. We be wrong.

Yeah this is pretty ridiculous. There's also no visual representation of chips in the pot that are part of the ante. Took me nearly a whole level before I even realized that they were taking antes.

Never thought I'd see the day I'd be wishing I was playing on Bodog's older software.

Whats up CC! I am just a causal online poker player but I am really turned off by the new Bodog software. I would gladly take my business elsewhere if I knew of a better option for American players.
Any other options out there right now that anyone recommends?

Merge has always been a better option for US players than Bodog, even before this atrocious update.

BTW, as of today it's officially Bovado.lv now, not Bodog.eu. LOL at the Latvian domain.

Bodog.eu is changing - New Name, New Look, Same Great Service

The Morris Mohawk Gaming Group's ("MMGG") brand licensing agreement with the Bodog Brand is expiring at the end of this year and as a result MMGG will no longer be offering its services using the bodog name or from the website, bodog.eu.

From today, December 14th, MMGG will continue to operate as it has for over 4 years, just under its new name, BOVADA, at www.bovada.lv.

Your account and balance has automatically been transferred to the new website and you are able to log in to the site using your existing account details and password.

Any preference on Merge skins? I was thinking about opening an account on Carbon or Lock.

I would estimate the top 3 skins are probably Carbon, BlackChip, and Lock. I'm partial to Lock as I still get RB there and you can't get RB transferred anymore. What basically distinguishes the skins now is their VIP structure and promotions. If it's a toss-up for you, then I'd encourage you to help CC out by registering through one of their affiliate links (I know they offer Carbon and Lock).

Bear in mind however that all skins payout through the network (Merge) cashier, so the experience is the same for all of them. Merge is taking ~4 weeks to payout right now, so it may be slower than what you're used to from Bodog (one of the few positives Bodog had going, which is ironic considering their opinion of withdrawing players).

it just amazes me how totally negative CC has reacted to the changes. I cant imagine that any poker community would be much different.

They (the people at bodog or beridigovada or watever the fk it is called now) cant be total idiots - I guess - so they must welcome this.

But why????

It really is mind boggling. I guess they haven't heard of market research? Oh, and this is coming from a verrrrrrrry recreational player (me). I am not at all a grinder. So, they should really take note. It's not just the grinders and the pros who think it's a fail.

Yeah the anonymous thing really sucks for the Friday-night-I'm-drunk-and-gonna-play-some-poker types because there is no longer any social aspect to the game (admittedly there was little in online poker before). But now there is no way to strike up a conversion about were someone is from or their avatar. Also saying something like Player 4 is a chasing donk just doesn't have a good ring to it.

Bovada is done as a poker site at least as far as poker players are concerned. There will always be a few sportsbettors their blowing off steam but it's no longer a poker site.

I will not make anymore deposits over there, but I would still like to play the with the tickets I've earned and my player points. Like the 5K Superbowl free-roll tonight.

So I log-in and to register with my earned ticket and of course a pop-up states that this version of the software is no longer available and the new version will start shortly.
Then my AVG pops-up. Threat detected. This is a known Trojan/Backdoor!
Threat name: Artemis!4E06C23CC957.
I've never had this issue before with Bodog updates. So if there are any computer savvy peeps out there should I allow the download or move to vault?

What's going on with Bodog/Bovada? Tried logging in and they automatically did an update, but I got a pop-up that said there was a "Trojan Virus". Anyone else? Sorry. I didn't see lennysmalls.
