Well seeing from all your posts the software sounds very good.
Caught my attention!
I'm downloading this as I type.

Bodog

Hi all. I don`t know if this is right place for this but I have wanted to try bodog but they keep saying they will have their Canadian Licence shortly, ( over a year now). Any one have any info? It sounds like a decent site. Thanks.

I like Bodog overall...I havent seen anyone mention the horrible withdrawl problems they HAD been having--with it taking 6 weeks to get payment and many bounced checks.

They remained on my recommeded list--since I was hoping they would fix these problems. I have not looked at the whole problem in the last 60 days for them...I will have to see if they still are having these issues or if the withdrawl process has quickened recently

I checked around recently about the previous withdrawal issues and it appears they have been fixed. Currently checks are being delivered in a week or less (some were reportedly received in 3 days).

Does anyone have any issues with graphical issues with the lobby? I find the visuals of Bodog much nicer on my eyes then FT but the lobby side of it always seem to be having problems.

-"Sweet! I have the inside outside nutter butter gutshut flush-house draw."

THAT cracked me up when I read it.

Agree with the others that there is no reason to 'switch', you can play at more than one ... I probably play at too many.
I play forum-sponsored events at Bodog but it is far from my favorite. For one reason, my museum-piece computer doesn't like it very much.
The only way to know how you like it is to try it yourself and see!
The $500 freeroll is a nice place to start!

i'm a big fan of bodog, great place to play poker. i'm with the other guys and say have as many sites on your computer as you can so you can be more selective with what you play. bodog is the easiest site to cash out bonuses in my opinion. only site i know of that gives youi comps for freeroll and play money games.

Is there any particular reason why everyone loves to switch back and forth between poker sites? If you've been to all the sites and cleared your initial deposit bonus, why not stick to the site you like the most?

oh yes it's true alright i entered yesterday and have 25$ in tournament $ and can't do almost nothing with them!

The money won in bodog freerolls can be used in tourneys, ring games, or even betting in the sportsbook.

Bodog has a nice reload bonus as well, I reload $50 every month whether I need it or not, since I play alot it always gets matched a month later. Think about it I get $50 a month free, really helps when lady luck gives you the bird.

I agree, I play primary 10NL and the 2NL 10max SNG at Bodog. I also bet sports heavily and being able to use the same bankroll for both things, as well as the reload bonus waz mentioned... I have to give it the thumbs up.

The 10max SNGs are nice at the limits I play at, it seems playing position/ABC poker will give you a 50/50 shot at cashing and more often then not 1,2 and 3rd are not a far stretch either.

I missed out on getting rakeback so that free 50 bucks a month helps a bit.

Though I will say the lobby software seems buggy on my computer, the game rooms run crystal clear but I tend to get minor graphic problems with the lobby software, anyone else having this issue? If it's not my computer (and I think it is) this is the only bad mark I give Bodog.

Cheers

So far the only problem I have with Bodog is that I can only play 4 tables at once. I emailed support to request more or to see what they say and their exact response was

"You can play no more than 4 poker tables at one time in order to maximize all player's enjoyment. You can customize your settings in the 'Prefences' feature and choosing 'Table Settings'. "

I just deposited yesterday, so we'll see how fast I can earn these points and convert them to cash. Right now I don't really have a grasp on how fast I will earn points.

I believe you get 1 point an hour plus 3 per tournament entered. As for gash games its a calcuation I don't know off hand but you can find it on the site by clicking on the features on the left side of the screen in the main lobby.

Well IMO bodog is not quite as good as FTP.
I do play at both of the sites but seem to like full tilt more.
The bodog software is nice and the layout is awesome plus the games are pretty good, but guess I just like full tilt A little more.
I really only spend alot of time on cake though.

CONS
-Bodog does not have nearly as much traffic as Full Tilt

-Bodog is known for an exceptionally high number of bad beats
AA vs KK vs QQ... Luckily I got out of the way with QQ

-Bodog has very few tournaments, of which an even smaller number have guaranteed prize pools.

-SnG traffic is non-existent

-No rewards system besides poker points, which don't get you much

-You can EASILY blow your bankroll by betting on sports or casino games

PROS
-After just a couple weeks of play, you will know many of the players on the site, which can help you dodge those sharks

-Minimum deposit of only $20

-Sportbook, Horses and Casino (If you want to blow it all)

Bodog is not affiliated with any other poker rooms, nor is it on a network, such as Cake

I would definitely prefer Bodog to FT if you are a small stakes player. The loyalty points rack up faster and you can use them - the freerolls are better - there are far fewer lunatics in the MTTs.

I prefer the Bodog RNG too.

I've played on Bodog for like 2 weeks now (ring games only) and I've found that by playing .25/.50 the bonus is pretty easy to clear. I deposited $200 and (by NOT following proper BRM) have gotten up to $470. I've racked up about 1,000 player points which clears $100 of my first deposit bonus and if I convert the 1,000 points to cash thats another $10. PLUS I have rakeback of about $40 or so which means that Bodog is an awesome site to play at, lol. Oh and you can re-deposit once a month to keep getting the deposit bonuses....but I don't know how that all works with withdrawing money and whatnot.
