LOL. BetOnline is part of the Action Poker Network (PayNoRake/Tiger Gaming, etc) -- which is the WORST network in the industry. Google them and you'll hear nothing but bad reviews.

I wouldn't think so. Action isn't US-facing.

And you can go to Action's homepage and see their brands, as well as a number of poker network review sites which list their skins. Betonline isn't one of them.

Any idea what kind of CC-exclusives there will be? freerolls, money added tournaments? Also, will there be rakeback offered?

I was talking to someone on another forum about BetOnline; he said live chat told him no rakeback, but that things are sort of up in the air right now, and that they would get back to him about some sort of incentives to sign up and deposit.

Guys my professional skepticism is flashing. I will avoid. This is more likely to crash and burn than it is to succeed.

Why do you say? I do think it is a somewhat of an iffy move insofar as not having a network to draw player liquidity from. However, it seems to be a pretty well-established sportsbook, so I am hopeful.

What is traffic like? You can't tell from the website, and I am waiting for CC's affiliate link to sign up.....

Traffic will never be great. (only like 2k at peak hour)

Tourney structure is the worst I have ever seen. Every tournament has 8 minute levels (even the deep stack) and most start with 1000 chips.

For bonuses, you actually have to get in contact with the support staff to get the bonus, not automatic.

Variety of game is low and you will probably never really see games about 5$ ever.

The table looks pretty bad from the one screenshot they have and non of the lobby from their website.

The website is vague as hell.

... None, they're independent. They've run a sportsbook operation out of Costa Rica for over a decade, and decided to take advantage of the US site vacuum by adding a poker room.

I thought I heard about this place right around black friday. Some Costa Rican sports book opening up a US friendly poker room. I don't know, didn't really care so much at the time. Anyways ... after a quick google search I found this review of a Panama sportsbook. This is the place we are talking about, right? Their sportsbook review is pretty good ...

I signed up thru the CC link yesterday. They do have pretty regular FR's. I keep getting kicked off the network after the first hand of every FR I've played in and also when I tried to multi-table (only two tourney's) if I tried to keep the lobby open so that I could see where I was at. Also the "Sit Out Next Hand" kept coming on when I wasn't sitting out (cost me the only AA I've had there). The level of play doesn't seem too great but they keep donking out on me (My AKo raise 3x was called by Q4o and he flopped a 4 while I didn't hit anything). I did almost make the cut on the last $10 FR I played. Finished 13, and they paid 10. The graphics suck. No icons, just a chair and I can't read the the board very well. That might just be my poor eyesight though. It's a place to play and with the frequent FR's I'm confidant I can get something going there.

Click on the link in the tabs above for Poker Site Reviews. In the paragraph titled Real Money Poker Sites there is a link to the best "US poker sites for US players" and you'll find the link to BetOnLine.
I am not seeing BetOnLine...

So should we or shouldn't we sign up with CC's link? I'm confused. Now that we know it's there (I see it, anyway).....

Edit: I'm worried in the case of rakeback, in the event that it is offered. Will we be able to opt for rakeback retroactively?

I have no idea about their rakeback system if they even have one. You would need to contact them about any rewards programs they may have.
You should sign up using our link if you want to participate in the exclusive private events we will have there.

personally I'm going to wait it out, the research I did on this site didn't impress me enough to put any money on it, but for those of you that are going to play enjoy and have fun.

My computer refuses to accept the poker software. the only option it gives me when I download the software is to delete it.
