10% charge on withdrawals!!! dear lord
How BetRaiser poker makes money
During a withdrawal of funds from BetRaiser poker to third-party payments systems, a 10% house fee will be taken from the player's net winnings. Players can gamble for a long time on rake free poker without any house fee. The house fee will only be charged on a withdrawal of net winnings.
During a withdrawal of funds, first the sum of the deposit is returned, and then the winnings, from which a house fee will be taken.
Example: a player makes a €100 deposit, wins €50 and then requests a withdrawal of €120. Under this scenario, the net winnings exceed the deposit by €20, i.e. a 10% house fee equals €2.
Very few people play there, because their first reaction to a 10% deduction of profits on your withdrawals is similar to Patty's.
Patty, take a look at your PT3 or HEM, look at your total rake or MGR and profits, and let us know if the rake is more or less than 10% of your profits.
You'll notice it's much, much better to play rake free and lose 10% of your profits on withdrawals than to pay rake to FT, PS, or anywhere else.
That said, there is no traffic at Betraiser. I opened an account there about 2 years ago and have never played on it. Shame really, because it's a much better system of paying rake.
Hehe. Nice Conversation here. Slowly but surely betraiser seems to advance! the website comes across way more fresh and modern than at the start and they are adding new features on a weekly basis. I didnt hear any bad comments about delayed payouts and didnt have any myself. :top:
Interesting how 90% of the people participating in this thread have a post count of less than 10...
Rake kills people...
I was thinking the same thing, especially considering the number of views this post has had and the length of time it's been on Cardschat. Seems like a publicity thread to me.
That said, I did open an account there roughly 3 years ago, looked at the traffic, laughed, never found any decent action, and haven't bothered to go back.
I love the idea of rake-free poker, but basically every site that has tried the model has failed over the past 10 years, even though it is ideal for players.
I'd love to play at this site, but the lack of traffic makes it basically a big waste of time for me, unless things have changed lately.
Rake-free poker doesn't exactly cater to the recreational player, as recreational players usually don't even notice the rake.
Indeed that could be a problem. The traffic is important. At least that is what´s making me playing at Stars or Fulltilt.
Whatever, i think for casino traffic is not necessary, so their concept could be successful anyway. They just would have to subsidize poker promotions with casino earnings if they have...
