888 vs PS.

Since I went back to playing on 888poker, I can't help wondering if the CC freerolls are played by the same people on PS and 888 !!
The games are played so differently to the point where I start thinking that the players on 888 are not the ones who play on PS even when it's the same level on both (Platinum for exp.). We are all members of CardsChat from which we get the passwords, yet we don't play the same way on both sites ! What makes it so ? Or am I totally wrong ?
Any thoughts ?

I think that most of players are playing on both rooms and I don't think that something is that different...But any way the more tournaments I play I recognize more and more people here and there for sure

Haha, I didn't want to say it, but yes. I think the competition is softer on 888 even though the same players play on both sites. That's what made me wonder in the first place.

Man, in general I find 888Poker very strange, I have the feeling that there are a lot of bots among the players. I started playing online poker at 888Poker, after a long time I switched to pokerstars as I feel more comfortable. With regard to freerolls I also have the same feeling, but I never commented because I thought I was the only one with that feeling. I rarely make deposits at 888Poker after I adapted to PokerStars. But it must be just impression as 888Poker is also reliable. Hugs and good game to all

I think you should give it a try. I played on it years ago then uninstalled it. A couple of months ago, I went back and honestly I found it a lot more enjoyable. It has tremendously improved.

In some rare cases, it could be that someone only has an 888poker account, although I see it less likely. I do think that a lot of people have a PS account and don't bother to play freerolls from other rooms like partypoker or 888. I can deduce this from the number of players registered

888s rake scheme is basically unbeatable and is a border line scam and therefore only the noobiest of noobs tend to play there.

I also play in both poker rooms and I don't see much difference in the level of the players on the CC freerolls. 888poker tournaments runs faster than PS because it starts with higher blinds, maybe this can make a difference, but not much difference in my opinion.

Tends to be that way on the less populated sites. I found I had the most luck playing on Partypoker but when I seen that Pokerstars had a larger player pool I went there instead. 888 was a horrible experience for me the server was choppy and yeah couldn't even get a hand in sometimes. but thats just my veiws. 888 reminds me of fulltilt if anything... just a eye sore to look at and pain to play on but mind you this was 6-7 years ago hopefully their crispy now.

About 7 years ago is precisely when I left 888 and uninstalled from my pc. But when I went back recently, I found it a lot better, smoother and really enjoyable with some features that even PS doesn't have yet.

Totally agree with you. I myself only played on PS till recently when I discovered the many 888 improvements.

I noticed that the players, the same ones on both sites, play more seriously on PS. But then again, we can be wrong about anything, anytime.

I think you got the wrong impression. On average, 160-170 players participate in our daily platinum freerolls at PokerStars. On average, 110-120 players participate in our daily platinum freerolls at 888. This is a significant difference. The vast majority of players play on both sites equally, but there are players who occasionally just try their luck.

Well Stars games usually do start later than 888 ones so no surprise on that front ^ cause that way this giving perfect chance to "experiment" in earlier games knowing that should it go horribly wrong you still have other events coming up ...

for someone, pokerstars is more serious than 888poker for someone on the contrary, and that's why they play somewhere just like that and somewhere seriously and thus try the results of players in the two poker rooms are different and they also play for different reasons for this

as mentioned above, if the same people play on both sites, then they are unlikely to play differently, 2 factors acted on your similar observation
1, almost 1.5-2 times more people play on the PS
2, the random number generator is different , if somewhere it is close to real life and the game is quiet and measured, then on the second site in one hand three players are dealt a flush, a straight and, say, two pair, so a thriller unfolds there
