I've played 467 Blast games at the $0.10 level and I am down $4.43.

This about the price for the rake in total since 1 cent is taken for each game.

I don't think Blast games can be profitable if I only get multipliers in the 2x to 10x range.

I think I have an advantage on the field of about 25% and still I'm not profitable. So I will need better luck for the multipliers or I'll have to put an end to this project.

Has anyone actually won any real money playing blast
Yup me!

This just happened: 1000x and I finished 2nd for $20 in a 10 cents Blast. :)

I'm glad I did not stop playing besides my reserves because LUCK can happen.

I would like to know too, if there any winning strategy exist already for that relative new form of poker. For me it's pretty alike to Spin'n'Gos or Twister at another poker rooms. Honestly i don't like it much. I'm more classic SNG player. But sometimes to fill requirements of some promos or if 888 gives me a ticket, i play one or two. What i have noticed many ppl go all-in first hand or second too, then calm down a little bit. I try not to be involved in that gambling without premium hands. Later i try to use my position as much as i can and make a bit pressure on opponents. But at the end, when it finally blasts it's mostly about of luck. The only thing you can try before is to coming with bigger stack, so you can survive 1 loose at all-in phase.

Well played m8, very nice result, i was just like can't believe it was really at 10c game. But still must be hurt to end at second, when your opponent win 60$.

Here is the last hand I played with the 1000x multiplier.

I don't know if there was any chance of getting the Big Stack to fold pre because after the flop he was locked in. My main concern was to eliminate the small stack so I could ladder up to 2nd place.

888 Poker - 100/200 Ante 20 NL (4 max) - Holdem - 3 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

UnrealDonk (SB): 1,195
Jeka2580 (BB): 795 (VPIP: 54.55, PFR: 36.36, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 11)
acehighkk (BTN): 4,010 (VPIP: 38.10, PFR: 14.29, 3Bet Preflop: 12.50, Hands: 44)

3 players post ante of 20, UnrealDonk posts SB 100, Jeka2580 posts BB 200

Pre Flop: (pot: 360) UnrealDonk has A:heart: J:heart:

acehighkk raises to 400, UnrealDonk calls 300, Jeka2580 raises to 775 and is all-in, acehighkk calls 375, UnrealDonk calls 375

Flop: (2,385, 3 players) A:spade: Q:club: 6:spade:
UnrealDonk checks, acehighkk checks

Turn: (2,385, 3 players) 5:heart:
UnrealDonk checks, acehighkk checks

River: (2,385, 3 players) 8:spade:
UnrealDonk checks, acehighkk bets 400, UnrealDonk calls 400 and is all-in

UnrealDonk shows A:heart: J:heart: (One Pair, Aces)

Jeka2580 shows A:diamond: 4:spade: (One Pair, Aces)

acehighkk shows 7:spade: 9:spade: (Flush, Ace High)

acehighkk wins 2,385
acehighkk wins 800

I only play Blast every now and then when my bankroll is low. Just to come up with enough to join S&G and Tourneys.

Blast is a good entertainment to raise the level of the player when there is nothing to do. But free time is still necessary to find.

[...]I don't know if there was any chance of getting the Big Stack to fold pre because after the flop he was locked in.[...]

No chance honestly, if he understands the pot chances a little bit or at least not totally rock and has intuition to such things. I mean, before you act the pot had already 760 chips. So let's see if you would push yours 1,095 chips, the pot is already 1,855 chips. I bet a guy from BB goes all-in anyway with his 3BB left and A4o, so the pot is now 2,450 chips when the act back to the big stack and he has to deliver 695 chips. Man, it's even more than 3 to 1 chances of pot for his 79s, considering that he is sitting on a big stack basically it's good enough for calling anytwo, but 79s is a must call.
Simply unlucky spot for you. If you had a bigger stack than just 6BB there would be another calculations, but in that case no matter what you do, he has simply enough chips to gamble with you if you would shove PF.

I preferrer spin&go the rake here is absurd. U play against 3 players =40 cnts and still getting only 20 if u won them. It's not necessary much thought to see that

Mostly no tactics works. It is just for fun. For example yesterday I was playing 10 cent blast and till River my hand was a straight from 9 to K and I was only gonna loose to A K and I lost that hand as my rival had A K. what are the odds that you are against A K in heads up position exactly?? Unless you hit a massive prize pool and at least finish in top 2 position you are not gonna win a good amount.

its kind a unfair when its time over and sittiout player win over me,
his stack was 4 times shorter than mine, but still he won me
i v outplayed 2 of players and one was sitting out, and he beat me 3 times in all in situation and game over kind a unfair, dont like it, most cases im loosing against small stacks hate that situation.

After reading your's post, I want to advise you more than 10 cents. Although if you are a beginner, then this is a normal bet.

If I play 10 cents Blast I usually go all-in almost everytime. I feel it is just the same as a lottery tickets. I just hate it when the 5 minutes is over and everyone who's left just go all-in for a winner.
