I have been on a bit of a winning streak of late with my sports betting, I had 15 winners in a row, mainly horses but also some goalscorer bets on the football adding up to a cool $600 profit in just over a week.

I tried to log in and make a withdrawal last week only to see my account had been temporarily disabled after a "random review".haha I contacted support and was sent a generic message citing terms and conditions. I replied and the response I got from 888 was a claim I had repeatedly sat at cash tables with my deposited funds without playing, this is a complete fabrication as I rarely ever play cash poker and when I do its only ever 1/2c and even that is super super rare, I am pretty sure I have not played on their cash tables in 2023. They also cited that I had unregistered from a tournament which I do recall some weeks ago as I was playing too many tournaments already but so what right? Out of all my winnings around $4 had come from using bonus funds to bet with and 888 hilariously claim I was "abusing the bonus system using "technics"(its techniques btw these morons can not even spell). My technique is this, I study for hours before I place my bets using spreadsheets and eliminating selections based on many factors.

I explained it was a measly $4 and I didn't want to argue with them and advised them to keep the $4, I received another generic response citing terms and how they can block accounts for any reason they fit and they have now simply stopped replying like some dodgy ebay seller. This is ok with me I have no desire to play on their tinpot site anymore the place is dead anyway. As for my money well it seems the place is hard up and needs the $600 more than me. I blame myself for not withdrawing faster. I also like the idea that they fear me and my "techniques". They are not the first site to ban me for winning too much and they won't be the last. My advice to other users is to always withdraw when winning decent amounts asap before any "random reviews"

Same type of thing happened to me....they closed my account for some mysterious reason.....using banned software but I have no idea what that might be, and they did not respond to my requests for clarification. Well they can take their stinking site and turn it sideways and shove it up where the sun doesn't shine

But $600 is chump change. Whay would any site get upset over such a paltry sum?
Is there more to this story?
Specifically, which T's & C's are supposedly being explicity violated?
It just seems so bizarre.
Then again, I have a similar experience with unibet. I had only just joined. tried to play a CC tourney (but posted wrong password 3 times). Account immdiately suspended then cancelled. Never got to play a single game on the site!

If you enter your account password (and not tournament one) wrongly several times in a row then it is quite obvious that they are going to react - i am pretty that this happened to most of us at some point ...

There are a lot of such cases, draw conclusions and bet on sports only in the leading sweepstakes in Europe, I know a lot of cases when 888 poker blocks players, when they win big money in poker, they removed many strong players from their room.

I can see why they would ban someone who wins at sports betting. It's not fair but they don't want to lose money.

But why on earth would they ban someone who wins at poker ? That doesn't cost them a dime.

Write the 888 representative here on CardsChat that could help maybe :)

On our forum there are representatives of 888 poker, it's interesting to know their opinion
It's good that we have 888poker representatives on the forum. They could write a post informing us how to avoid possible bannings, informing important concerns with our account and the main reasons for the bannings, so we've already organized our accounts, I'm new there. I hate having problems after winning that tournament that I spent so much time dedicating myself to. I will even pass on the terms and conditions of the site, could a representative be able to answer any questions later if necessary?

Strictly speaking their accusation is, that you abused their bonus system. Not that you won to much on sports betting. Other than that I will refrain from having an opinion, since its impossible for anyone except OP and 888 Poker staff to know, what actually happened ;)

The timing of their accusation is impeccable. Hey fundiver, I see you want to withdraw $600. Well, actually, you abused our $3 bonus that we snuck into your account, so no you can't have any of your other money that you won.

Its pretty common, that investigations are triggered by a player wanting to withdraw. And as I say, we dont know, what actually happened. There are regularly posts in the forum, which are a variation of the theme "huh-buh they banned me for no reason". And more often than not these posts dont tell the entire story. Parts of the story are often left out or twisted to make the banned party look more favourable.

Other people have made posts about a way to get around 888 Pokers bonus policy, which basically state, you need to lose all your regular funds, before you can use the bonus. Which many including myself find make the bonusses essentially useless. The trick apparently is to register for time scheduled tournaments, you dont intend to play, and then unregister again, before the tournament begin. In that way your regular funds are "spend", and the bonus funds become available to play.

However I think, it should come as no surprice, that if you do this regularly, you might face the ban hammer somewhere down the road. So what others should take away from this post is mainly to not do this but just let the bonusses expire and not even care about them. I am not currently playing on 888 Poker, but I am certainly not going to refrain from doing so in the future because of a post like this ;)

Bookmakers will always see a way to win, never lose! otherwise, there is no joke and so everyone is happy and the betting house goes bankrupt. Yes, it's annoying when you win and can't withdraw, because they place many obstacles, it's happened to me! oh well

He tried to use bonus funds by registering and unregistering tournaments and cash games and is now blaming the site because they are aware of it and warned him.

In these cases players always blame the site but they mostly do not bother reading TOS first or being responsible for their own actions.

888 poker is a reasonable site in my experience compared to other sites, I suggest get more InTouch with them and explain your side or ask and clarify with them what the rules are:)

friend, we also have a problem with identity verification in 888poker they ask for a million documents I don't know why this didn't happen before, but now I think they probably have some mistakes or something like that even wrote on the forum by our official employees, they said we'll figure it out and in the end they don't do anything I think 888 poker is no longer the same as I think in the near future everyone will face such problems

Seem like OP has had this problem before. He is like someone with 5 failed marriages behind them, who think, its all the fault of their previous partners...... ;)

I see serious arguments here, and I think that the representative of 888Poker, who visits our forum, will explain this.

This is an example of why these sites do this. This guy has conceded his $600 over fighting with them for it. To be honest if I was ripped off for $600 by pokerstars, I would probably do the same as this guy. Unfortunately for them however they tried to rip me off for almost $4000.

These sites are scammers guys. Make no mistake. They might not have scammed you, but that doesn't mean they aren't trying to scam other people.
