Day 40

Events are winding down as the Main Event gets underway. Yesterday Pat Walsh took down the $10k PLO, and the Little Drop played down to the final table. Today starts Day 1b of the Main Event!

WSOP Day 41:

"The 2014 world series of poker is in its final stage of the summer. The last of the preliminary WSOP bracelets was awarded on Sunday when Igor Dubinsky won the Little One for One Drop $1,111 NLHE tournament."

WSOP Day 42:

This was the last day of registration, and when it was all said and done, this year's WSOP Main Event field is the 5th largest in history. Yup, I would love to see him make a run, but it is way too soon for us fanboys to get too excited. If he has a huge stack after day #2, then it might be time to get excited.

The 2014 World Series of Poker Main Event is nearing its end with only two more days of play on tap before the November Nine is determined. With just 79 players still in contention, play is getting intense for the competitors as well as poker fans. Yesterday the field thinned to just 27 players.
