For me easy fold on river. Maybe even on turn. I would be interested how fast he called on pre-flop and raised on the river (instantly?). You could test by re-raising on the turn but it's too costly.

He took his time but I can't say that he thought too much to pay that 3bet preflop. On the river he stayed for about 15-20 seconds until he goes all in. I can say on all streets he used about the same amount of time to take decisions.

Guys, I want to know what you think of that hand that gave me the biggest headaches in the main event.

Unfortunately, Pokerstars no longer has the Boom replayer option of hands played as you probably know, and I use a Holdem Manager version for micro and medium bets, so I played this event without HUD and I can't show the action visually by street, but I'll explain each bet line so that you understand how the hand was played.

"ZinkAA" opened the min in hijack, 3bet 6.5BB in the cutoff and he called.
On the flop he checked, I checked, on the turn he led big 11.5BB, I decided to call and wait to see what would happen on the river, and on the river he goes all-in with around 24BB and puts me in a difficult decision, after thinking it over I decided to give up.

Reanalyzing my hand, maybe I could have taken the initiative on the flop and made a small cBet to test what he would do, but I thought his range is much more coordinated with that flop and I could have faced a chek raise. What do you think ? Any advice and opinion are welcome.

Gabryyyel, you did well to quit. The only observation I make on this hand is that you should have made a continuation bet on the flop. Maybe 4 or 5 BB. You had AK. It would intimidate him if he had nothing on hand. Maybe he would let go. Maybe he wouldn't bet hard on the turn after you showed strength on the flop. And if he paid you would have an idea of the strength of his hand.
But when we're at the table, it's different.
You represented us very well, friend. We are all proud of you! :)

I thought about this variant but I generally use the same sizing when I do 3bet with premium hands but also with semi-bluff hands ... and if I had grown with a blind or two or more the size of the 3bet in this case, would have meant that I should have adjusted the size in all the next 3bet pots so as not to become predictable. That means I trying to minimize losses in eventuality that the villain makes a 4bet reraise over me and I need to fold.
As I said above you played well. But may be you need to change you PF strategy? For example, try to change raise and reraise PF between 2.5x and 4.5x. So if you get premium hand you can raise or reraise max as you want. For me premium hands is ones I need to shove anyway. In tournaments with big BI I think it's AA, KK, sometimes QQ. If you consider AK as premium in $5,2k BI tournament, would you call if the villain 4bet all-in PF? If yes you should have done 3bet all-in or min half your stack PF to force villain to fold. If no you played well.

I think one of the things who need improve is the idiom, we know the english is the language international official in the world but unfortunately not all people speak english, in brazil we have a great community i believe idiom is a barrier for brazilians enjoy the Cardshat, i purpose one space for community in portugues language.
And i have to participate to this tournament because i know who i can win xD.

I really like how people still try to win the ticket for a tournament that has been played...

Guys I wanna know your thoughts about this hand the one that gave me the biggest headaches in the main event.

"ZinkAA" did the min open in hijack, I made 3bet 6.5BB in cutoff and he calls.

A c-bet would have been good... A fold to a re-raise would have cost you less than the fold on the river, but maybe you would have won the pot on the flop.

The fold on the river is good... Especially with your stack size. There is a bunch of options for him to have you beaten. His betting pattern fits well with holding 10 J, maybe even diamond suited...

Sad you didn't win more, but i hope you enjoyed the experience of playing in such an expensive tourny anyway

My answer

You could honestly stream like the forum page as far as accessibility, with the passwords updating and replying to forums but by far the best forum page/community I’ve ever seen.

I deserve it because I’m already in a $4000 hole that I can’t afford to be in.:(

Congrats gabryyyel31 on being able to represent CC!

Did you make a separate thread detailing your run?

It's cool to see "WhatIfGod" winning this tournament as he already built an impressive resume of wins.

Good luck in future events and take care.

King definitely could favour you, but 11.5BB seems so big. It was a huge push, and as you made a 3bet at the start, he could have known that you are connected with the cards someway. I can just imagine better cards in villain's hand. River made a predictable shot by going all-in, and more likely you made a great decision by folding and gave yourself another possibilities. And hey, you didn't lose so much chips in this one.
