That sucks for a lot of players that don't know their exact balances. Unless the DOJ won't require you to quote it to the penny to claim it.

From rumors that I've heard, the DOJ will not require you to know you're exact balances. Or else there'd be people requesting like $10 more than they had accidently and causing a big mess.

I recently had to replace a totally thrashed hard drive. I had an old backup. Most of the stuff from that backup did not restore properly, but luckily, it looks like all my jpg pics did. So I have my screenshots.

After playing about a bit with the software I can see why people liked it. MUCH better than stars. tbh, the only thing I cant see is why stars didn't just end FTP, steal the software and have all the old FTP players play on stars instead.

It's a matter of opinon. I played loads at both - but preferred PS by a long shot and so did a lot of people. Any time it was brought up in the forum members were always split about it.

This is the reason why it will be so profitable to keep both sites running instead of merging them. People like having choices, and people have different tastes and needs. By running both sites Stars expands their player pool immensely, and can target the marketing and structure/feel of the site to different types of players that otherwise would not have played on the competing site.

Is there any reason that we should not expect pokerstars of 'old' NOT to have history files, at least based on sign in name? I would think they exist, unless they were conveniently lost.

I'll make my claim, but I have very small faith still that the DOJ will do anything timely, nor will they refund the full amount. Everyone acts like it's a done deal, but the truth is now the game is changed. They, the DOJ, will want to hold on to as much of the proceeds as they can. Case in point - Absolute Bet (Ultimate Bet) & Absolute Poker. In that case they pay themselves before paying the victims. When did that become the norm? Members of those sites will not see anything from what we know today.

When I fall asleep at night I should count the posters here, instead of sheep.

Pokertracker files are way too easy to alter, i cannot see the DOJ accepting them, they also do not track deposits/withdrawls.

I had to replace my hard drive as will but I have not got my pictures or files out of the other one yet they are asking for a little to much money down at best buy to do it ..so I have been waiting around for my sons friend to do it for a cheaper price....I have my screenshots but there on the old hard drive
