Seen this on Twitter last night.

Looks like they haven’t paid back all the funds as it said they won about $60k in total and are only paying back 30k so don’t get that.

Haven’t played there in a while and don’t think I will be doing so in the future.

Other day saw a player with a 57% superior finish playing Spin & Gold. I think it's an absurd percentage even for an excellent player.

What 👎 and 👍 they are talking about? It can't be about page up/page down buttons on a keyboard, since they use specifically thumbs up and thumbs down names 🤔 I don't think I've seen such buttons on poker tables 🤔

Damn, and a few weeks ago i read here on the forum, under pokerrooms, that GG actually "won over stars" for some of these security reasons...😮😳

Tell me this is not true.

Hahahahaha I love their technical terminology for the exploit.

...he was able to deduce all-in equity by exploiting a client-side data leak vector...
BUT WAIT

IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE RANDOM SO HOW CAN HE DO THAT WITHOUT HAVING ALL THE HOLE CARDS AND ALSO THE ENTIRE RUNOUT OF THE BOARD

I believe it was based on the cards currently out. So if he were playing HU and had JJ and his opponent AK instead of being able to see the AK he would of been able to see ~46%

For example if he could see the equity in the way you are suggesting he wouldn't of called on the turn in a hand like this if he knew the run out was the flush. He instead can see he has ~52% equity:

So this is a Russian hacker group, I still trust GG to take care of the security breach
This sounds accurate because as usual the Russian got it backwards in the end. The name was money taker but the money ended up being taken from him.

Makes you wonder what they dont catch.

Or imagine how much damage a thinking player could have done with this exploit.

He looks pretty greedy when you review the hand histories.

Also makes you wonder how GG Poker was able to identify exactly how the player was exploiting their software.

Ok, that makes sense. So he was fine with practically flipping with J2o on that board for his entire stack because he could see it was pretty much a coin toss.

Probably due to unusual high VPIP+win rate.
And multiple hands where a call only made sense if you'd know the opponent's cards

Yup - Also that 52% is worst case without knowing any of the dead/folded cards. If GG calculates the equity taking those cards into account he likely saw a slightly higher figure.

Either way it makes more sense calling as a slight favorite than it would calling if he knew the river card. :p

The real worry is that the software has so many structural flaws to begin with. Like why does the client send the all-in equity percentages before the players are all-in! Seems so stupid.

I was thinking about opening an account. I am definitely not now.
I agree but I would still open an account there since the site has best mtt offers atm and a lot of bad players.

U can just use the daily freebie (thats a free 25 cent ticket hyper sng ticket every day for 2 different formats) and if u dont like it u stop play there again without having risked any of ur own money.

Ur missing out on free value otherwise and thats not what an original cardschatter would do 😀🥲😂

Well, GG said that it was not a superuser. According to ggpoker he was using some output of data in the App as a measure to know what the other people had in hand. From what i saw he was mostly playing cash games and had a very low 3-betting status. So he was playing many hands and making money out of other people bluffs.

The bad players are what tempts me!

freerolls are good, but if I only play those GG probably wouldn't let me withdraw!

When u won enough u just deposit the minimum (which is 10 dollars via ewallet) for being able to cashout.

Did this in the past on basically every site i did not fully trust and was always able to withdraw a profit.

Thanks for the info (y) I've seen it earlier on Doug Polk's YT channel and I've searched CC for more details as I always like to read the opinions of other community members... GG Poker and probably the other online poker sites too are in a tough spot as if this can happen on such a big site than what about the smaller ones and/ or the ones that aren't regulated?!

DP usually does a good job covering this kind of news, so I'll leave a link to the video/ YT channel... GLGL all at the tables and hopefully you won't play vs. hackers lol 🙏
