I went to make a withdrawal from partypoker and realized my bank is charging a $20 fee for the transaction when using Fast Bank Transfer or Electronic Transfer.

I did not make a deposit and would like to try and avoid that if possible (instadebit would require a deposit first).

Are these the only options? Any thoughts on other methods to make a withdrawal and avoid the transaction fee from the bank?
Go to the Canadian "Withdrawal Options" page in your account. There have been some software changes lately at Party, and maybe the page hasn't caught up to them yet. But when it's there, it lists all options AFAIK. They even list live venues where you can withdraw.

I'm lucky to be able to withdraw funds from PP at the cash window of my local cardroom (Playground). The only cost will be the "rake" for converting from USD to CAD. Apparently, they use the RBC rate for purchase of CAD. While I find it incredibly frustrating that Canadians can't play and get paid in CAD without a fee, I guess I should be happy that there is only that fee and no others, nor is there the necessity of opening a third party account or having to deal with crypto's.

Now I just have to win enough to withdraw something.
This thread bump reminds me that I was wrong about the exchange from USD to CAD at Playground. The exchange rate is phenomenal!! They don't take a rake. They just give you the money at a neutral rate - no buy rate/sell rate nonsense. They don't make money on the exchange like banks do. This is how I have always expected/thought that they should do it, but this is the first time I have ever experienced it.

At least the one time that I have withdrawn from Party at Playground (this Summer), it was very smooth. :elefant:

Awesome - thanks, I appreciate the help! I will check it out and see what other options are available.
