Legal issue with a bounced check? Sure, but who is going to admit to it and pay for the damages plus your winnings? Poker sites not in this country so now what are you going to do?

International litigation is a nightmare, we should try to make withdrawals before they hit 4 figures if possible, or do multiple small withdrawals to avoid scrutiny from banks... Maybe I'm just poor though

Online poker sites are all inviting to make deposits. Those are handles immediately and withdrawn from your bank account before you can check your bank account.
So many issues with withdrawals from most of these online poker sites.
I look at it this way, if your going to deposit with these sites, you must take into consideration the complaints posted by many members of their problems.
Your problem with the $3000 check and many other posts has made me decide NOT to deposit. Take your winnings check to the bank, deposit it. It bounces. Now you are faced with a NSF fee and possibly other problems. Legal issue with a bounced check? Sure, but who is going to admit to it and pay for the damages plus your winnings? Poker sites not in this country so now what are you going to do?
Once poker sites become more honest and quick to respond to player cahing out problems, I may reconsider. Till then, NOPE!

Good luck getting your check deposited and cleared with no problems.

Prolly never getting it.... At this point hoping just to get my own money back (like $150)... And your right on all the above it sucks, but it comes with the territory... Any business that tells you that getting the money is your own issue not theirs should not be trusted..

All of these poker sites that cater to American players are running scared because if the US government can track down the owners of the sites they will prosecute, convict, and even eliminate them if possible.
They need to distance themselves as officers of the company fro US customers.
This is the risk you take as US players to play at these kind of sites.
Hopefully for US players and the whole world of poker that once again for players in your great country that the United States will once again be the land of the free.
I have great empathy for you and your situation by the way.
Being cheated, intentionally or unintentionally out of your hard earned winnings totally sucks.

Prolly never get to withdraw again because I'm going for the kill mega hit every time!!!!!!!!!!!! But when I thought about cashing on FF a week or so ago the plan was WU or money gram.... If I do ever hit the big numbers again on Bovada (if i get the urge to deposit again)... I plan on going the fast withdrawal cc method

Bovada Cashouts

Holy smokes requested at cash out on 11/29 finally getting a check on 12/16. This would be considered speedy back in the pony express days. Now after reading the reviews I get wait another possible month for the check to clear yipee! You'd think a company making as money as they are would come up with a system for faster smoother payout. Are there any better sports books sites out there?

Okay, I was just starting to set up an account with Bovada when I started reading this thread. For some people, the process seems to work and for others it's a nightmare. Recommendations? Sorry...not trying to hijack the thread just a bit concerned atm. Thanks!

I have never had an issue cashing Bovada checks at my bank.

I agree I personally do not have a personal checking or banking account but never ever had a problem cashing Bovada Pay Outs,,, sometimes I may haave to wait a day or two for the funds to clear but it has always been fairly seem less.

Just request the visa fast funds and you'll be good. Had my first clear within 7 days. Waiting on my second one.

I bank with chase

11/25- Deposit check at chase bank.. Teller goes on and on how the check is fraud and that it won't be accepted
11/25- My bank account is shut off for fraudulent activity
11/26, 11/28, 11/29 Wednesday,Friday, Saturday I'm in contact with chase bank trying to figure out why my account has been deactivated and what I need to do to fix the issue. CS tells me that the check won't be accepted and will be sent back monday
12/2- I call chase again trying to figure out what needs to be done for them to process the check.. They say get them the number for the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce and they will call the bank to clarify if the check has been processed on their end.. They call CIBC and the CIBC tells them that they need two things from chase bank.. Chase Bank claims they can't provide these things and have no idea what they're talking about.. So I ask Chase if they have no plans of giving me the money from the check than can I get the check back from them and begin the process of getting another check from Bovada... Chase tells me that because they have already processed the check they're unable to return the check to me. Also that the company shouldn't need anything from them to prove why they won't return/accept the check!
Bovada- Tells me they won't cancel the check or allow me to get another check from them, until Chase writes them a letter on why they won't accept the check and returns the original check...
Anybody else ever run into these issues before cashing a bovada check at Chase?? Any help would be appreciated.. Really beginning to lose mind wondering if I will ever see any of this $3000 lol

I've banked with Chase. When I did I cashed 3 checks from Bovada.

I Had the same problems. Most of the advice you get here may not work. ATM deposit didn't work for me. No cash checking outlets within 50'mea would touch it. They only cash international checks they have an account with. None of the had ever head of the Canadian bank bovada used. 5 banks, 3 ATMs and 4 check cashing outlets. Bovada sucks and does not give a shit. After holding my money for 12 months they said I just didn't want the money and wasn't trying to cash the check. This after millions of hours with their shit customer service. Like I have fun talking to idiots and didnt want hundreds of dollars. These guys are special.

Ok so you cash a big check and the bank refuses to give you the money.. The site you play on turns their back on you and your stuck with no bank account... A $3000 check they won't give you and a couple hundred of your own money you can't get.. So here is the question since the site won't give you somebody to contact, which leaves you with no resolution to the situation.. What do you do? If you go into your bank and tell them the check is from online poker what happens? Anybody else ever get stuck in something similar? Thanks

After noticing patterns of the dealing and scam on bovada poker. I am entering a MTT tomorrow morning at low stakes. I am going to play every hand I should fold and fold every hand I should play. I will find a way to beat this scam tomorrow as far as cashing out. I've never had the privilege from bovada to get a win streak. I have cashed out from sportsbook over 10 yearsago with no issues ever. Bovada us truly ****ing you hard bro (sorry if cussing isnt allowed)

its been 1 over a month when i won on sports and Bovada and i never got paid .I used direct deposit to my bank account .Called couple times and they keep repeating same script.Please wait we will pay you but we dont know when.I think they have issues with money.

I have issued with cashing too. On the 4 of June's they approved my cash out and process to send it to me, In my bovada account the message said it takes 10 business day for me to receive it. Then I call them they said is 10 to 15 days now I think they lie to me and doesn't want to paid or something. They keep on saying is already send out and wait for tracking number.. I will never played at this site again.. Help me with posted

I cashed out 775.00 and my bank wouldn't cash it because of the numbers on the check were international. But i took it to money tree and they cashed it no questions asked and they cashed it as a payroll check fro lower cashing fees.

Having major trouble cashing it at Comerica Bank in Detroit. Branch manager through a hissy because it was marked non-negotiable, account payee only. Now being run through their collections dept. been 12 business days, still no word yet.
