As bigger and bigger of sports betting is starting to get across the nation will online poker follow suit? The states that are legal with online poker are NJ, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Delaware, Nevada, and I might be missing another state or 2. I wanna say a large 70-80% of states you can now wager sports betting while with mobile and some present at casino while online poker is a very very small percentage legal in certain states.

Do you think that somewhere 10-15 years from now we will start to see more and more states legalize the thought of online poker? Let's say wsop, pokerstars, 888, unibet, GGpoker, etc be the main companies the way the FanDuel, bet MGM, draft Kings and Caesars are to sportsbooks do you think this will attract more attention to the game? I think we will see a trend in the near future. What do y'all think?

I would like to hope this will open up and allow poker to be allowed in more states but based on what my local politician said after sport betting was allowed, I am not so hopeful. I would hope this will be drastically different in the next 15 years but its been 11 years today since black Friday and oddly we dont really seem any closer to that reality. I also think they think the value is there for poker as well. Sport betting all politicians understand and probably have play but poker? I just dont know.

Good post.

All we can do is hope but I do think that it's hypocritical to allow sports betting and not online poker. Then again sports betting was nowhere near popular back then like it is today. So hopefully after all 50 states legalize sports betting maybe just maybe we'll start seeing baby steps turn into walks for poker in other states soon.

I hope so, I really do miss playing against American players, they were some of the biggest fish in poker back in the early-mid 00's.
