I’m in MD, so it was a “no” vote for me :(
I can’t wait for the day when I can say otherwise!

I am in Michigan. We have two regulated sites. Online we have pokerstars MI and BetMGM aka party poker. It also sounds like wsop should be available soon. I also hear that MI is going to enter a multi state pool with New Jersey and Pennsylvania possibly. There are also numerous online casinos and sportsbooks, too many to mention.

That sounds promising!

In PA we have both legal poker sites and sports betting sites.

Does CC want, to try and get some games on sites that are legal in some states???

If I can find some FB pages, I'll try and get new members here, to be added into the games.

Can you play regulated online poker in your state?

I live in Florida, so the answer is no.

I honestly think we will be close to the last states to ever regulate poker due to the Indian Tribal Casinos in Florida trying to stake there claim.

There we're petitions going around about sports betting and we the voters in Florida will vote on these issues now.
I didn't sign the petitions.

I want more casinos especially in Central Florida Orlando area!

The closest casino to me is in Tampa. The Hard Rock Casino.

I wish I could play at Pokerstars for money:(!

I feel your pain lol.

But at least you have live poker - we have nothing in Georgia. :(

As a non-US squirrel, I was hoping to vote for 'cake'...

Alas!

Decided against voting 'No...' because although none of the other options apply to me, neither does 'No...' due to the technicality of the 'state' I live in having regulated poker...

Although I'm often 'in a right state', I am (sensibly) abstaining!

tl;dr - Bump!

Here in CT we do NOT have online poker. We did recently, within the past year allow online casinos and sports book
We can use Fanduel, in conjunction with Mohegan Sun, and Draftking with Foxwoods. There is another partnered with the CT Lottery.
poker stars did at one time partner with Mohegan Sun for the North American POKER Tour. Hope they will agaion.

The rule is, any online poker site must "partner" with a real brick and mortar casino before being allowed to spread any games. Right away this eliminates at least half of the USA States, the half (or perhaps more than half) with no brick and mortars.

Here in my State - Massachusetts - our State legislature finally legalized brick and mortar casinos, and they awarded 3 such licenses. However, in the five or so years since they passed the law, none of the brick and mortars have given ANY indication they have plans to partner up with an online poker provider to spread online games.

So we residents sit and wait... and wait... and wait... for years and years. I have little to no hope the corrupt USA will ever sort its mess out. Anyone who thinks regulated poker is returning to America is living in a fantasy world. Yes, some States have worked it out, but I don't see many others trying to jump on board eagerly - my State being one of them.

Good luck with your proposed changes for we American players, but I consider myself 100% a pessimist, and for very good reason. We claim to be all about "freedom and liberty", but the reality is the exact opposite. Poker players know better than anyone how our beloved "freedoms" are easily and quickly taken away by our corrupt, crooked, compromised and co-opted governments. We don't just have one government (Federal), we also have another layer (State). America is twice as bad as most nations that only have one layer of government.

Certainly. I offer my utmost best wishes to CardsChat with your plans for America poker players. I'm sure you have good reason for making these changes, and I'm sure you've thought it out very well. I wish I had similar optimism, but I don't.

P.S. Let me add one addendum to my post proving just how screwed up my State is. Massachusetts is the corporate headquarters of one of the two largest fantasy sports companies. There is Fan Duel, and Draft Kings... and Draft Kings HQ is right here in Boston. However... the State legislature has still not passed any regulation allowing Draft Kings to spread their sports betting in our state. Can you imagine? They are HEADQUARTERED here, and aren't allowed to operate in their own state. They can run the fantasy game stuff, but I don't play any of that. I'm waiting for a real "Sports Book" to open, but just like poker, we've been waiting for years for a law to be passed. Once again, there is no indication of any progress with the lawmakers. In my State, the are as corrupt as they come Who hasn't heard of Whitey Bulger? He was a very famous criminal in South Boston. Well, believe it or not - its 100% truth - his brother Billy Bulger was the PRESIDENT of the Massachusetts State Senate for 18 years, the longest tenure ever. This should provide the perfect picture to show just how our State is run (or not run). It's maddening, but I won't live here forever. This State is a complete dead end, a total mess.

If Michigan pools with other states, I might move there (I'm only 3 miles away in Indiana). Would love to play mixed games online for meaningful stakes again besides just stud and omaha 8 on ACR. I miss draw games online.

I asked a friend who is a state representative and a Democrat to introduce a bill to allow online poker and sports wagering in North Carolina and he wouldn't touch it.

I live in Nebraska, no gambling (no covid reporting, so at least *looks* like we have zero cases vs. the rest of the world...) so no light in the tunnel for online poker of any kind and even weed is still illegal. Surprised they allow this new fangled electricity thingy here...
