If you find your mind drifting then leave the table. Nothing good can come of it!

But about your question - in my opinion you should have a betting plan before the hand even starts and definitely pre-flop.

I have been reported as a bot because I consistently bet the same amounts and players don't know what to make of my hand.

Get your feet wet & then go from there. You could even start with play money tournaments in your fav site to get the hang of it.
