First let me say that I just play for a hobby. I'm 70 years old and have no time for bs. This has happened over the past 10 days and I'd like to know the odds. I have seen 8 sets of quads of which I had two and two straight flushes of which I had both. It just seems to me that this is way out of line for one site. Then again it is poker right. Thanks people.

How many total hands? What form of poker? How loose/passive is the game playing? How many showdowns are you seeing?

Hello! One evening playing in freeroll, there was a frequent distribution of pocket aces, I myself made a flush street, why were there such hands? I have no answer. Respectfully Sergey.

I was at a table today where a Royal Flush was followed by four of a kind the next hand. I understand that these things are possible, but it does seem like an over average occurrence of premiums (especially vs really good hands).

I'm not one to believe in conspiracies, but could the number of close, strong beats be related to rake? If one person has a full house when another has four of a kind, or one person a nut flush while the opponent has a straight flush, wouldn't that make for a larger pot? Increasing these type of hands by a small margin could really make a difference in overall rake. Just saying.

I can understand what your saying but it does happen. I was dealt poker aces twice in a row and both times was called by AQo. Both flops were Q high.

About 2 weeks later I was dealt pocket aces again in a row. this has never happened again to me.

There was a time I saw a Straight flush and then a royal flush on the next hand. Sadly I did not have those hands but it was for the same player. Talk about wondering what the odd are.

I did have quads 3 times in a tournament.

I was one outed in back to back hands in one tournament. To go from chip leader at the table to out.

So is there an issue with the site? No. This was live at a casino.

And we all remember the hand on TY at the wsop a few years back Aces vs 2 players who had kings. OUCH

You hit that one on the head. Now today was a different story. I got 8h and 6d four times in a row. I don't know what''s going on but it's strange.

Global seems off to me but I still play there. The only advice I can give you is try not to go all in if possible. See a river before making a big decision if you can. I know that's difficult sometimes depending on the situation. Remember. Pot control, pot control, pot control. Good luck at the tables.

In No Limit Hold'em, a player has about a 2% chance of having quads by the river while they hold a pocket pair.

Also a player has about a 0.001% chance of flopping quads without a pocket pair.

Extreme scenarios do happen and can be very profitable. Unfortunatel those hands aren't the common scenarios that you can take aadvantage of to make a profit out of the game

Also remember that online poker plays a lot more hands per hour than live poker. You can also multi-table online and can not in a live setting. If you multi-table, the amount of hands per hour increases substantially and you will see more things like this happen. Best thing is if use a HUD or software that keeps track of hands you can go back and look at statistical data. This should show trends that should be inline with probabilities over a large sample size.

Global Poker doesn't allow HUD use. He won't be able to do that.

Unregulated sites are built for action and entertainment, at least that I have found in my own experience. I also notice a HUGE difference in card distribution and randomness between playing in freerolls and on overseas paid sites tournaments where real money is involved.

That is not saying they are rigged, just built for action.

What I am trying to say is that the freerolls to me seem 100% legit and playing with real money seems insanely funky..just taking about cards that I have seen..again, this is my experience.(one one site, but not qualified enough to say which and it’s not important as this is just my own observation)

As for facts based on a real deck of cards.

B4A54689 51CD 4D4F 9DD2 38036BC34F37
4F23675B AC19 4869 9D29 327F326C8B94

So yes, lol it is possible that out of 2.1 million possible combos was a royal flush and then another out of 2.1 million next hand had quads but I’m leaning towards (cough) BS:) Again, this is my opinion.

yes

Good morning everyone.
When I see poker liver, often a weak hand wins, the guy has an A9, hits A on the flop and hardly loses, online poker has a schedule to make the game have a lot more strong hands, if online poker was 100% similar to live poker in terms of results, I don't think it would be so successful.
But there are some hands that are impossible, one more absurd result than another.
Of all the sites I've played, the one that has the most similar results to live poker is bet365, but there are few players.

Well how many hands did you play over those 10 days? If you have played live poker, then first of all you need to remember, that you play way more hands per hour online. So 10 online sessions is not the same as 10 live sessions. It might be like 30 live sessions, or more if you multitable.

And if top of that 10 occurences are not that many. Even if just as an example there was only supposed to be 2 or 3 over that sample, sometimes there will be 10 due to simple variance. If you flip a coin 10 times, its supposed to give 5 heads and 5 tails, but sometimes it will give 9 heads and 1 tail, and this does not mean, the coin is rigged.

Craziest online hand I ever played was when I won a $75K bad beat jackpot playing .25/.50 c limit at Party Poker June 2010. I ended up with JJJJA starting with AJ and got beat by a straight flush in diamonds 9-K with the winner starting with QT diamonds. Live craziest I ever saw was at a $3/6 limit table in Winnipeg canada where 3 players ended up flopping a set with AA, KK and 88.

For every time I was dealt AA I was dealt 72o 16 times. Its just variance and mathematical probability.

I don't see anything unusual in this. In online poker, more hands are observed, which means you will see more combinations. In general, pocket KKs came to me three times in a row.

The conclusion is simple. If you play for money in this room and you have doubts about the adequacy of the hands, then try playing on other sites. Once you have the opportunity to compare the course of the game, then you will find your path and your progress.
