I watched a U.K. T.V. series called late night poker, and got hooked on Texas Hold-em, I used to play a lot of Stud and Draw Poker but the feeling of playing the Cadillac of
poker games was electric and exciting, I was immediately hooked.
I love the up and down swings in chip-stacks, and found that if you could not match the bet from an opponent, you could always call all-in and win the pot.
Playing 3 card Brag for many years where the rule was if you could not match the bet, you were forced to fold, meant many times it was the person with the most money that won and not the player with the best hand, which I felt was unfair.
So being able to call the biggest bets with the smallest stack was really great fun, Sure it took a while to get used to the format and game play, and I used to play with play money until I cashed in some free-roll games, but I have never regretted taking it up, and I eventually went on to play live games in pubs and clubs, and finally
casinos which I never thought possible, Poker is a really exciting and fun game to play as long as you play within your limits and do not go into debt to play.
When the fun Stops, STOP!
