Plenty of the ACR stormers I’m cool with. Some have staked me in a few tournaments and unfortunately I haven’t been able to give them a final table win

Online I guess is more difficult to make friends it's so fast to play and chatting.

I've made a few friends by playing live poker but also online (mostly members from different forums that I've 'connected' with...) ; it's quite nice to have people to talk to that share a similar passion for something like you do.

Stay safe everyone!

I made some. Mostly through the table chat. Once you catch the vibe going on the table is so easy to make poker friends. Another great way to make friends playing and discussing poker are forums, such as this one. A great place for soulful poker discussion ends up being a great place to make friends online. It's so easy, most members have their social media info to their profiles, or you could just hit them on direct messages👍

I also play mostly on unibet and I've made quite a few friends from their community - it's not a big community like here on CC but there are quite a few people there ready to help you if needed(not only the Unibet employees)... I also like that on their poker software you don't have the chat because let's face it, most of the time it's just used by people who talk trash and it's kinda ruining the experience you have at the tables.

Yes a lot.
I made friends playing online, even if i have not met them personally.
I even transacted with them with some businesses and without experiencing any problem.

yes

Yes, playing I met new people in person, but not virtual, online for me it is difficult because they change your table often and it is difficult to start a talk, I think that's why I have not been related to this

When I first started playing online poker, it was very interesting for me to communicate with different people. I got to know a lot at the tables, and we moved on to communication on social networks. Once I was even offered to get married. But since we were several miles away, now we are in different countries, we did not meet. I stopped playing poker for several years and our connection was cut off. A year ago I saw that this friend was writing to me, looking for me. But I have never reconnected. I don't believe in love online.

Yeah, I have made a couple aquaintances but, only one became a friend while I was living in Kharkov, Ukraine, a year an half ago. He was a fellow Moroccan, in his 50s, a regular grinder, made his living out of playing cards since he was 18 years old. He never had to work a normal job since then, mainly 10 /20 cash games and some tournaments but, never broke big. He always played where he could win consistently and be safe and have a low risk of ruin. Someone I look up to and it makes you wonder about how many like him are there in the world, there's many, regular people who've been grinding and living through poker for decades and nobody hears about them.

Live Home Games - YES - I started playing a live home game at a friend's house and have met several nice people I never knew before. One couple has even joined us on vacation and we visit with them frequently.
Live Casino Games - NO - Met some nice friendly people, but have not become friends with any of them.
Online - NO - Again, players are friendly enough and chat is amiable, but no lasting friendships.
Online with Friends - I started a 'Home Game' on PokerStars, and play with some friends from my live home games and have 'met' a few new players invited by other friends.

In fact yes, two very good friends. I met them both at a cash table in a hotel casino in the middle of happy hour. You can meet fun people who can help you with your game or just hang out.:top:

Before the casinos opened in Maryland, I used to play on a bar league when I lived in Baltimore and I made sooo many friends. It was super cool. One of the guys held a home game poolside at his estate in the summer. I would also run in to the players at different casinos nearby in Delaware and Atlantic City. I have since moved south and I miss the hell out of it!! I can't find a game here at all. So I have gone online and found a whole new poker community. I play on the WPTleague.com which is cool. It is also a bar league but has gone online now since COVID. We play for cash/prizes/WPT entry, etc. by finishing top 3 in the daily tournaments. This CC forum has been invaluable for researching reputable online games. I have really found a great source of poker online.
