it seems to me that in online poker, the program is designed to decide who will lose and who will win, and the developers of course can keep track of when the big tournaments are held and shuffle the cards, all success!!

From your scenario you are basically just describing the odds of probability; if you take a basic course in probability in math you will understand this statement.
But by no means should that take away your concerns about online poker, I have been playing online since around 2004-2005 and within that time-frame there have been numerous scandals’ of online poker sites including some of the largest sites known in the game.
Generally speaking playing online is fairly safe, but there is ALWAYS this thing called doubt that lingers in the back of one’s mind when their monster hands get continually crushed by rag hands with 1 or 2 outers.
If you are extremely concerned, the simple solution is to not deposit you money online and just play in freerolls, this way the only risk you are confronted with is the loss of your personal time.

This is an old thread I know, but one thing that amazes me is that out of my last 40 sessions at partypoker (yes, I kept track of it purposely!!) I haven't had a SINGLE session (on average lasting 6 hours) where I didn't get hit by a 2 outer.

May I ask you how low the odds are of getting 2 outered at least once 40 session in a f*cking row?

This is enough for me by far to say: No, I can't trust any room so I stick to playing online for fun and live professionally.

Now I'm 100% sure. Stars is a big SCAM!

I have just played my last hand at that f*cking scam site, owned by criminals.

I have played at Stars and Betonline.ag for the past 5 years on and off. Ever since I started playing at Stars I realized equity plenty of times to the extend that it made me think Stars was rigged to my favour.

Over the years though I started noticing that my draws started to hit less and less often... It is a gradual occurence but nonetheless it's real for sure!

The past months I'm just unable to win a decent all-in one after another. Especially in multiway pots when I'm about a 60% favourite on the flop I lose and I lose and I lose.
Draws just won't land one after another after another after another. It is just so obvious this site is about to tease and trick people into believing they can make good consistent money only to rob them gradually after.

The only reason I played at Stars is the great offer of various turbo tournaments which Betonline.ag lack.

Now though, I'm completely done with the filfthy PS scamroom!

At Betonline.ag I HAVE NEVER HAD THE FEELING THAT ANYTHING IS WRONG. In 5 years of playing there sure I have had my downswings (as well as upswings) but no gradual descent in equity realization whatsoever.

Sticking to Betonline.ag regular tournament formats from now on. Goodbye PS scammers!

trust?????

Yes, i do trust online to be totally unpredictable and may be somewhat screwy, i would never invest much in online until we get it more controlled, like usa starts it up all over and we have careful observation of sites---- i dont mind big brother as long as he keeps it on the up and up

I trust online poker. But I have a crazy theory:
The distribution of cards is random in the sense that the room does not choose which player will give the winning hand. But the winning pair is already defined before the cards are dealt.
-As?
-The pairs of individual cards, the flop, the turn and the river are pre-defined. There are thousands, perhaps millions of pre-defined combinations.
-But then it's not random!
-Yes it is! The choice of which card combination will be used in that round is random and the distribution of individual cards to the players at the table is random.
With that, the room manages to force certain crazy things to happen more often. Type AA, KK QQ and TT appear in the hands of the players in the same round. But there is a guy with 38 in his hand and 8J8 comes on the flop. This guy takes everything if he has the courage to call other people's bets. This does not happen very often. But it happens much more often than in a live game.
-But the room already wins with the rake. What does she gain from this way of distributing the cards?
-As the rooms always have a lot of fish, it is more common to appear maniacs who pay to see with shaky hands. The fish wins here to lose there and the experienced player expects a good hand and loses to the lucky fish. With this, neither one earns a significant amount and continues to bet and pay rake.
If nobody wins, nobody takes money. If no one withdraws, the money just comes in.
Of course, some lucky ones manage to raise amounts and withdraw. But the less fortunate, the better for the room.
In the end, everyone has fun, because Poker is leisure for everyone and business for a few.

I'm thinking about online poker, I'm not going in a round where I'm 2/3 in hand, here comes the card and it appears 3-3-2 and you wonder why I did not play this part? enters for you AA, you bet and think that you will win, your opponent goes with 7/8 and fafaz 2 pairs and wins from you. and so, should I rely on poke online.

Do you think that the map that you need should definitely appear? Poker is based on random numbers. Since special authorities check the software, I trust online poker. There can be any combination as many times as you want. Many hands are played and everything is possible. Remember better when you were lucky on the River, the opponent was also in shock.

Not sure. There use to be published problems.
Lately more about flooding tables with teams of players.
It will never be a true pokerroom, But it is entertaining
And I have carefully made money

Sometimes i wonder how players even remember cards they lost win if they are playing online . Between faster play with multiple tables and memory how can we know for sure . You cant. So to come here and suggest it's rigged without data is just crazy.

Feeling are useless so lets clear it up. No tracker no idea. Get a tracker. Most sites keep records and import the data. Then i can have a conversation . Until then its wasted time. i garentee that you will see. Then you will walk away , then come back. Because its in your blood . Addiction or entertaining you will play. Tracker gives piece of mind if your a solid player .

I think I have no choice, I trust)). But it is human nature to doubt. It is technically possible to influence the game. This is just a computer program.

100% the licence holders are strictly under control so RNG is RNG. There are always people believing all is rigged, but in my opinion that people should just stop playing.

I watch wsop, WPT, and other poker circuits online almost daily. Losing stronger hands to much weaker hands happen often. Perception is a big part of it, though. When your stronger hand holds up, you don't really think about it and put it in your memory bank because it is the outcome you expected. However, when your strong hand gets busted but a marginal or garbage hand you remember EVERY SINGLE TIME. So, your mind is filled with constantly losing strong hands when you presume you shouldn't. Sites have cheated in the past (including poker stars), but I feel its less relevant than before. ACR has had an unblemished reputation since conception. And, they have live dealers in the Casino, and are working on doing the same for larger online poker events.
Today, 08/07/2019, I played at pokerstars, the site that I like to play, one more thing I can not fail to comment on is the fact that the hands preminus, lose to much weaker hands on a large frequency, fact that does not happen so often other sites.
With AA I lost to 88, I also saw an AA lose to K9o who made a Sequence, in posts I did before that I said that it is a default site, AA losing to much weaker hands that do sequence or flush.
I also saw another AA losing to KTs, which flush.
The bet365, is the site that the results are very similar to the live, hardly AA, loses.

poker

When I started playing online poker, my thoughts were in favor of a tweaked RNG. BUT over time, I began to understand that there is no escape from the variance and there are very strange distributions. It happens that the downstream does not end for months or more. Some players are starting to think that all the poker rooms are against them. It's a delusion. Simply, this is real poker.

Noob players

I can watch 25 hours of poker a day, over the internet! I can waste all that time in my day; I watch players like Doyle Brunson for hours at a poker table, and this is the Great Game 'A CC thanks

All day:icon_rr:

PokerStar's has had corruption issues. You can research this, and find several incidents. I believe a lot of poker sites have cheating issues. However, I like ACR. They have a long history of an unblemished reputation. Also, if you like blackjack or roulette, they have live dealers (they partnered with a real casino, and contract dealers to deal for the site you can see them and communicate with them as if you were really there). And the rumor mill says they are going to implement this for poker as well (cash games and high stakes tournaments.)

Another problem is perception. Players start making allegations of cheating when they lose a strong hand to a marginal hand or garbage. You don't remember all the hands that hold up, cause you expect that outcome. But you remember EVERY single time you get busted, and so your memory is telling you that you keep getting your strong hands busted to crap. When that is in fact not the reality. I watch poker circuits on TV more than I should, and you see it happen all the time.

Cheers! :)

Exactly! Also, I stated in another reply that it is perception. You don't remember the strong hands that held up, because you expect it. But every time you get busted, it gets deposited in your memory bank. So if that's all you start remembering, of course you going to claim corruption. Nope, it's just how sick poker can be sometimes. But, just in case, I play on ACC, never had an issue. In fact I've had days were I constantly suck out on the river, and I start thinking there is a poker angel on my side! :p

I trust only those sites that have shown their best side and have been in the top for a long time and have not compromised their activities. But there is never a 100% guarantee that you will not be deceived, only if you are the owner.

Trust most websites

I trust most websites with a lot of traffic, because I don't think regs would ever play on a site that's sus when it comes to weird RNG or rigged games. It's impossible to know, but you have to give the benefit of the doubt when you know there are people beating games

Ths is redundant but here we go . Not one mention a tracker. No tracker, no idea. Look at it this way. Do you use your bank account with out ever looking at data? Or count your change after you buy a drink? It's all data we can see . And see it again tomorrow . Why would you just give it up.

Get data than decide am i playing bad or just unlucky. Or if that stinky crap smell is just crap. Data doesnt lie and memories suck. Once you get tracker put 80% or betterpost flop. if your win rate 50% or flips are around 20% you have to decide am i that unlucky or is it rigged. Either way they not getting my money. Information is there , use it.
