At first glance, the games are similar. But in fact, there are so many differences that they are completely different games. Poker players who used to play only through the Internet or in a real casino often get nervous before the first game in a new place. Offline: poker tables are filled in the evening or at night, so it is unlikely that you will be able to play in the morning and afternoon. Most of the games are played on Friday evenings and weekends, so if you play regularly, you will have to tightly tie your schedule to the weekend. Online: the game is available around the clock - in cash games at the right limit or in tournaments with the right buy-in, they always play.

The best game is the online one because it doesn't limit country borders, it's the reason that helps in every difficult moment, as in my country that is not regulated and then none of these are performed.

I rather play online, its much easier to multi-table and you do not have to worry about giving off live tells.

online for volume and keep mind engaged - also play any time convenient to you. Off line for a more skilled, concentrated game.

For the fun live poker is so much better option for me. The online poker is good because you can play several tables at the same time, but I can't read the players as good as in live poker.

No contest for me, Live all the way. My best friend sat down with £60 I gave him in Dusk Til Dawn Nottingham to play 1/1 cash and walked away with £1600 a few hours later. We partied that night let me tell you. No waiting for withdrawals, no sending mothers maiden names, no guessing if your oppo is a bot or using stealth observer. Just hot cash in the hand which we wisely spent at a "Sauna"

I would rather play live than online. I enjoy the atmosphere of playing live. The problem is being able to afford playing live. Right now my fvorate casino has 2 tournements per weeek. One during the work week plays so late I would ned to take the next day off. The other is on the weekend with a $500.00 buy in. Umm that way out of my buy in range.

Off line I play poker better, because it's more interesting, and I have patience for a good game, and online I'm nervous about incredible hands that very carved cards very often fall out, and off line everything is honest.

Live you play 1 table and fewer hands per hour. Online you can play 1 or more tables and see a lot mor hands per hour.

For me, playing online is a priority, it's more convenient, faster, although some offline series also deserve attention

Both got its ups and downs. Online is more at ease from the comfort of the home, live is more exciting.

You can make a lot more money playing live compared to online at the same skill level.

But then you have to deal with people o_O

Variance can hit both live and online.
Online you can make volume which in consequence mitigate randomness. You can't make same volume live, so live you need to stick with proper game selection to win enough to mitigate bad beats run which, as you all probably know by now, always happen. You are getting on average 50 hands per hour on full ring live. That means, let's say 500 hands daily (10 hours), 15k monthly with weekends. Assuming nanoko take weekends off, he was making around 5k daily multitabling online.
Now, how long can downswing be. Check this out: What was your largest downswing? Can you see this guy claiming 150k? So sick.
I calculated some time ago what minimal stakes live one with average win rate needs to stick with to survive typical downswing variance. And boy, let me repeat this, game selection is the key.

Online poker is better! There is no need to spend money on travel and accommodation, there is no problem traveling to another country, you can play at several tables at the same time, no one sees you, you sit warm and poke buttons)

I find live a bit depressing to play, everyone thinks they are a pro and there is no real craic. Players taking themselves waaay too seriously.

Online is certainly easier, you don't have to hide any physical cues. But there are nuances (tells) as well in the online poker, so it's interesting!

Live poker is better fun, you're in a community, you can read people's reactions.
In online poker, however, you can play more hands, you can play on more tables and you have a lot of statistics about your opponents in general.
