100% this, home games allow you to set your own buy-in, avoid paying rake and play with people you're comfortable with. Arrange a small 3-4 person cash game with a minimal (or no) buy-in and play with friends until you're comfortable with the mechanics and rules of live poker. If you're enjoying/preferring live play, then consider trying the lowest buy-in you can find at your local casino, ideally having a friend or two join you for it.At home with friends.
