Sunglasses at table is a good advice to hide your face reactions, but you most feel comfortable! .If you are need glasses for view, is bad.

I play online, so I use glasses only for protection from the sun, because I live in Krasnodar, and even in winter it happens +15 degrees Celsius))) When I participate in offline tournaments, I will most likely use glasses.

I've never seen the benefit of wearing sunglasses to a poker table. Then again, in my personal case I don't really think I have as many eye-related tells as some might, because I have this thing where even when my eyes are open they don't look...fully open, if that makes sense? Like, they look sort of half closed all the time. Not very accessible windows to the soul, those.

And personally, in live situations I've started to be able to get a lot more tells from people's hands than their faces. So if I sat down with someone in shades I'd just make even more of a point of looking at their hands.

I enjoy using sunglasses at the table. But in many situations I just couldn't, usually I was giving some lessons for begginers or even teaching newcomers. In home/private games I was always using, until I figure out how it creates a distance beetween the players, when you stop to think about the social side of poker.

And for me the social side is very important. So I'm only doing it in biggers live events, which I don't play that much. But I like the concept of using sunglasses because of leak issues or even to not give free information for the opponents.

Contrary to what people think, very little, if any, information (tells) is revealed through the eyes proper. Sunglasses can actually be counterproductive if they give you a false sense of security that your facial expressions are hidden, resulting in you focusing less on your "poker face." More information can be gleaned from the eyebrows, mouth and especially the neck.

The only real advantage of sunglasses is disguising who and what you are looking at and studying. They are also a great assistance to those who have a difficulty looking "cool" without them.

Not that much. I tend to try not to place to much emphasis on tells, unless it's very obvious. "The speech" is a tell you see. The old, well I gotta go home so I might as well go all in. Usually a big hand.

glasses can help in higher stakes with good players who know how to spot reads. lower stakes not so much. at this level most players think they can spot reads after reading 1 book like Mike Caros book of poker tells but it takes alot more then that in live action. glasses can also block your ability to observe other players so its not all positive EV for the people who wear them.

It works to hide the facies especially the movement of eyes that has influence to other players.
But, I don´t think it good to see the table because it´s dark to see.

I have mixed feelings about them. I like to wear sunglasses at a table but I find myself having trouble see cards from afar. I don't usually wear them for that reason but it is a smart move if it doesn't distract you from your game. You have the privacy to scan the table without people knowing where you are looking

How much does it affect your ability to play against a player wearing sunglasses (dark glasses) at a live table. As for me there are many more ways to read a person other that their eyes and such. What other tells do you see at the tables?

Players that wear sunglasses mean absolutely nothing to me while playing. I just notice their play whether they're aggressive or tight in their betting, if their hand shakes while putting chips in the pot or the best one is if the bettor is sweating when the pots are large all signs of a bluff

Let me tell you a story about a member of my family who went with a friend in a place were you play poker but it is not a casino in the term we know. while going thre wanting to make them sel look like first time player they kind of diguise themself with a yellow wig, pink sunglasses and funky pant. At there arrival a moment of silence marked their entries. Time to take their place at the table so they sit and the friend start a big big laugh like that for no reason wanting to make believe he was a little dum. We would have guest it just regarding the way they acted lol. Conclusion of the story the clown won second place and my step brother won 1st place lollllllllllll.
