I've only played small home games so far (and a little online, but play much better in live games because psychology is my strength and I gain a lot more insight spotting tells in person that one simply can't do online). I plan on going to a casino in the near future (as soon as the pandemic is fully over and it is safe again) because it seems like an experience I would enjoy. In the meantime, I'll just keep improving my poker game and be ready when that day comes
Prefer friendly, low stakes poker with friends. If you win or lose a few bucks, not important. Hanging out with your poker crowd, pizza, beer; all the essentials. The casino is for losing some money, getting out of town.
Serious, bear-down poker, I do better online than in the casino, or card room.
Many of my friends prefer playing for higher stakes than the typical "Weekend Poker Night" crowds would. We usually play for buy-ins of around $200, which makes for good poker nights. I love going to casinos to play, but I think knowing friend tendencies leads me to like those games better.
I prefer playing poker with friends. But I don’t have many friends. And even more so, there are not so many friends who play poker. Therefore, I play online poker.
And with regard to the casino, this is evil. This enterprise makes profit only to its owners. In a casino, winnings can only be random.
It is very different experience. When i play in home games with my friends our focus is on the fun, drinking and relax so in fact we gather to party and play some poker in addition. In casino it is real game. I like both but due to the much higher buyins in casino i play less frequently there.
Playing casino because then I don't feel bad about winning money off my opponents. When you play with friends you run the risk of them being sore losers about losing money. That ruins friendships for sure .
to spend a pleasant moment and share with people I prefer to play with my friends, while if I am going to play for real money in a considerable amount I prefer to play in a case because there is a greater opportunity to win more money
casino all day for me. when I play poker, I play strictly to male money. I am fairly chatful at the table I am not a dick, but I do have one headphone in to
listen to music while focusing on the table. I feel like if you play with your friends for real $, grudges can easily be born. You’re up a few hundo, your buddy has been taking a beating all night. you open to 3x UTG he just snap shoves for $50, you say **** it I’m up a bunch, call with910dd vs friends AA. small pot in grand scheme of things, but a friend might harbor resentment. in live casino cash, unless youre a pro, you won’t see the same faces every time you sit down. if you run a bluff and and show, you shouldn’t care if the dude gets pissed off, it might actually tilt him into making more poor decisions. my only goal live is to make $, only time I will play with my friends is if it’s like a $20 or lesser SNG while watching sports hanging out...
Casino most of the time, but I loooove home games even though sometimes it can be not so exciting for those of my friends who don't play well (a few good, but grumpy people)
Next couple of days it can affect them not in a good way, or they can skip next meetings.
So I prefer casino because there is no personal interaction after and I have nothing to worry about, but my game.
