A few weeks ago while reading the replies to a post here on Cardschat, I learned that there were poker games and tournaments to be had in the Granite State. When I heard about that I made plans to visit Filotimo Casino in Manchester when I made my tri-annual trip to Nashua to buy cigarettes.

It is a very nice operation and while the outside looks a lot like a typical building in an industrial park, inside it is very attractively furnished. There is poker, poker tournaments, roulette, sports betting, and other sorts of card games. The poker is 6 players at a nine player table to satisfy the Covid-19 rules. I'm hoping to start going up maybe once a month since the five hour round trip from home is a little much for me. :)

THIS GIVES MUCH MORE DETAIL about the tournaments and the games they spread than the casino website does.

Yes there are very good games in New Hampshire. I live in Maine so it’s cool to have card rooms less than 2 hours away. If your looking for other good rooms in New Hampshire I’d recommend The Brooke which has like 16 cash tables offering 1-2 and 2-5 no limit and I believe plo as well. They also offer tournaments, as well as all the typical casino table games. Another good room in New Hampshire is lakes region casino which offers cash tables and tournaments many nights of the week. Next Saturday they’re having a 250 dollar rebuy tournament that should attract a good crowd and nice payout. I believe there are a few other casinos with poker rooms located throughout the state but can’t recall the names. But those are definitely the two best IMO. Good luck at the tables!!

Thank you so much for all of the information. :) I'll definitely give some thought to those other venues. I play tournaments pretty near exclusively. I'm also planning to visit Mohegan Sun some Sunday because I'll probably see some familiar faces from my year and a half at Foxwoods before Covid-19 put an end to that. :)

Good luck to you as well! Emily :)

PS - If I ever run into you, or anyone else from CardsChat for that matter, please don't hesitate to say hello. :) I'm not that hard to miss and I'd really enjoy meeting you all in person. :)
