Today, I really need your help because I'm sick of it. The problem is that I love poker, I really like it when I play. I have some skills that allowed me to win some great online games. And since September of last year, I've been going to the appropriate casino for the poker table. I sit down and play. I had a lot of expectations at first, but they quickly fell. Why? I can't bluff, I don't know why, but players can always guess my moves. I don't use this strategy much because I know I can't, but still, sometimes I really need to bluff and get lost doing it.

Do you have any advice you could give me to try to relax and really be successful?

Thanks for the help!
Be more firm when trying, be safe, change your playing pattern sometimes to confuse them, get into more hands depending on your position at the table, no wonder. Be aggressive when you play, without fear. Bet only if you're safe, by bluff, or by amount, otherwise just pass. Ask yourself what I have passed on to my opponent about my hand, and what he has passed on his hand to me according to his movements. In theory it's simple, but of course in practice the story is different. Everyone has failed at bluffs one day and will fail, that is not and will never be 100%, but it will increase the odds in a longer tournament. 👍🏻

For us to help you we would need to have examples of your failed bluffs- so take notes- sit out the next hand and type the hand history into your phone then gather 5 bluffs or more and share them with us in the hand analysis section

One quick fix is that if your V never fold you never bluff-live that can be common

When I was listening to a good professional talk about bluffing he said something that I really remember as important. Bluffing is something that should be telling a realistic story to get them to fold and should be something that is rare. In a full session if your do more than one full bluff per session you maybe bluffing to much.

When playing live you may only get to see 20 to 30 hands per hour you play. Most daily tournaments are only 3 or 4 hours long. You may only be dealt 100 hands during this time. If your play a ash game the same issue is you don't have as many hand as online.

If your worried about players reading you I do have one piece of advice, When your in a hand and bet just look at something on the table. Dont look at anything else. You will be able to see enough to know what the other player is doing most of the time but by not staring at the player that will have a harder time picking up on you as well.

I'm a donkey so take it with a grain of salt.
You have to know your opponents, get a good grasp of your table image and have a credible story to get bluffs through. Getting caught occasionally bluffing is good for value when you've made a hand, but if they've seen you bluff almost every play and lose, they aren't ever going to believe a play you make.

Maybe you are giving off live tells.

Online is easy in that the villans cannot see you, but live you really have to focus on not giving off tells.

Its important where you put your hands, where you put your chips, if you are leaning forward or leaning back, and how quickly you make decisions.

You are probably giving off live tells and the fact you haven’t played live you don’t know what live tells to look for. Study hard on bluffs because you will be letting a lot of pots go by if you don’t know what’s going on. Study study study!

You should check out GTO Wizard, it's a great way to study heuristics, particularly when/how to bluff. Youtube also has a lot of free resources on this, check out the video below from J Little for a quick overview:

In order for your bluff to bring you results, you need to know well how your opponents play. When you know the approximate range of your opponents hands, you can understand when it is better to use a bluff, or vice versa, it is better not to bluff. And most importantly, when you are bluffing, you need to behave as calmly as in any other situation. If you are nervous, your opponents will easily read you.

well, first off, im a 5/5 No Limit player. 300-1k buy in live in casinos. Too be honest, bluffing is based off of players, and given the texture of the flop. Also having a good understanding of there stack size and "If" you feel the player will call it off. Bluffing is about looking for certain spots. Also timing such as for example. Flop comes out Ace high and it checks too you. Thats a perfect spot too bluff. Over time you get better at it. But it could be profitable and also not so profitable. It is definately an art form imo.

Think of bluffing as you're telling the other players a story. What are you trying to say when you bluff.
If you raise pre flop, are you saying you have a big pair?

if youre betting on the flop, turn or river, what is the board texture like? Are you telling them you've made your straight, flush or some other hand by your actions?

You can't just bet randomly and expect to get a fold from the villan if the "story" you're telling doesn't add up.

Bluffing is all about picking your spot, and also considering what the other person is holding and your table image by how you've been playing hands prior to the bluff
