Cash games, blinds go up so you aren't pressured by situation you can get up whenever you want and you will probably be sitting with the same people for longer instead of getting pushed to other tables so you will have a better opportunity of developing reads.

I think for now, it is best tournament buy-low, although there are differences in playing one another'd better start by tournament, if you lose are the chips and the buy-in you paid, cash game lose money and you can have a tendency to get more so advise tournaments and sit and go low buy-in and rise gradually

I would recommend starting tournaments or Sit and Go's if you are playing online.

Tournaments and SnG's give a new player a realistic idea of how to play to a system. Cash poker tends to be a little bit wilder and more broad in terms of the range of hands you will find yourself up against.

I started playing tournaments first. Just a matter of preference. You're getting good experience either way. If you have a tight bank roll, I suggest playing cash games and staying away from multi-level tournaments. SnGs are good, but only if you have 40-50 buy ins.

Whatever you do, keep bankroll management rules in mind first.

Start playing sit and go 9 or 45 people, less variance and chance to disrupt your bank is less

MTT is the most basic discipline.
Simply because in tournaments it is difficult to make an expensive mistake, because even if you
made some stupid decision (like all-ins preflop with 57о in a situation that for
this doesn't fit at all), you still might get lucky: for example, the opponents nothing
will be, everything will reset and you will win the pot. But if someone will be a strong hand,
you will still your 20-35% to win. That is, not only not to depart from
of the tournament, but to continue to play, and even with a double stack.
The share of luck in tournaments is very high. You can suddenly give out a cooler and you will be doubled. And
worst case – you simply lose one buy-in for registration in this
tournament. Considering bankroll management in MTT, it is mere pennies.

It really depends on you.
Cash games are more static, you can get up whenever you want and there is no pressure.
I personally don't like online cash games because everybody use trackers. If you play lots of hands, they get an idea about your play style without even looking at the hands you play and that pisses me off. It isn't real poker anymore, it's a computer that does the job for you...

That's why I prefer SnG and MTTs. Also speed poker is a good option too if you don't like to be tracked.

p.s. They still can use that program but they won't get enough information on you so you can watch their play style and compete with their tracker. But on a bigger amount of hands the program is gonna have a better read on you than you could have on that player.

I think you should play all three, so you can get the experience you will need to be the player you want to be. The first thing you should learn is BRM. It's not hard to learn what BRM is, but it is hard to use it and to be in control of it at all times. If you do, you will have a BR to play with and be able to build it up. If you don't, I'm sorry to say that more than likely you will lose more than you win, and your BR will go down fast or slow. That depends on the buy ins you use for MTTs, cash games, and sit n gos you want to play. If you let us know how much you plan to start a BR with, then we can tell you the best games you should play according to that. This will go a long with your BRM. Take your time because there is no fast way to learn all you need, and to be real, there is no end to it, so always keep an open mind, and use the advice you get here at the table. I did from the start here, and it worked.

You should start practicing low tournaments, eventually you'll start getting ITM more often and with time you'll get better and better.

I would focus on tournaments. The top heavy pay structure allows some decent yields should you have an excellent day.

I've had a number of wins in tournaments and cash games, but if you can make a good number of final tables, you will do fabulously. What matters the most in tournament play is to consistently make final tables.
Can you?

I think that tournaments require enough time, and you can learn faster in cash microlimit, and then go see.

The two options are totally different, and within each there are many options 6max fullring, etc.

If u want to start with tournaments it is a good idea to do it in sit & go cheap, 9 players and go see if you like that option, then play the toneos, with more players and more time.

You need to play all the opcion, and only you decide what is the play that u like, and you can play it comfortable.

Try to start to play tournaments, get experience, then go to the cache of the game. Cash game is harder than in tournaments.

Agree 100%. Although now I play mostly for fun and less for money , at first I was very excited with poker and I wanted to earn money. When I start playing poker I began the wrong way , playing cash games . The result was to lose a lot of money while I was learning increasingly the game , when for every mistake I could only lose some chips in a tournament , not money . I learnt to control temper , my ''tilt'' moments, along with other things in tournaments , and I had later some good results on SNG 45 90 players . The profit was very small for me , but sb else , like you, could do it better :)

Play what ever is most fun for u buddy, if MTT`s are fun for you while playin them then do just that, there are plenty of MTT`s where u can make a serious buck, i tend to agree with u about cash game and that is faster to make money there, but i have to strress the fact that MTT`s can be very profitable also, most of the big names in poker, made their money exactly from MTT`s, but they also play cash games hopping to add to their BR, but its first winning that big payout MTT, b4 they go playing cash games :D so there u have it

I agree with people suggesting you try both for a while and log your experiences. Then after a month or two compare them and see how you've done and which you've been enjoying more.

Also, are you playing for fun or trying to get to the point where you're earning a living?

I choose tournaments. I have so much success in tournaments than cash game. Tournaments are good becose you pay buyin and this is it, you play with chips. In cash game you can lose a lot of your money. Cash game play better players than tournaments, my opinion. To be a good cash game player is so much harder than good tournaments. In some low, medium or high cash game tables you did not have a recreative players they are good players and win hand against this guys is so hard. In tournaments you always have some players who want a quick money and play some hands without thinking, in cash games this is rarely. Also cash games have some benefits than tournaments becose every hand you won bring you money and this is a good thing for you but also you lose many if some player have better cards than you. My opinion is that poker players who play tournaments should not play cash games, especially if they dont have so much experience. On pokerstars this is case, l very rarely find some players who play mtt an cash games in the same time.

if you want to know, first try with a Freeroll there is certainly a lot of fish, but it is a good and valuable experience, and along with the initial capital, then heads-up and spin-and-go, these tournaments will help you learn how to bluff and play with a small number of people, and then you can go to tournaments with lots of tables and big jackpots, during this time, you will understand what the game is closer to soul and where you feel better

In a tournament, the most you can lose is your entry fee. In the bigger cash games, the numbers can be astounding, often nearly the size of first place in a single hand.

I also advise you to play in low buy-in tourneys for a while to get experience. After then you can decide which is better for you. I prefer playin in tourneys cos it's more exciting for me. :)
