Hello. I want to thanks all cardschat for giving helpful advices. But this time, I need help with how to control something physically. Although this is my personal problem, I cannot manage to help it. When I play in casinos or live home games, even if I face bad beats, I just keep my cool in casinos and if I'm playing with my friends, i keep my cool.

But when I'm online and face a really horrible beat by a river where I was over 90% favorite, I tend to pound my table with my fist very hard from the very millisecond after the suckout card pops up on the river. It seems like I have to pound my fist first in order to control myself and play optimally. It seems like I have to pound something in order to release the anger and get rid of tilt. It's like, pounding is a mandatory before reading and following StormRaven's tilt advices.

My only problem when I play online poker is pounding the table since it's part of my reflexes. Any advices for fixing this? I am asking for this because I crippled my table and have to buy a new one. I'll find a good table from craigslist to buy for a cheap price that's immune to my fist pounding. I've been pounding my table since the day I started online poker.

I have also experienced anger over online poker and have been able to curb it almost completely. The recipe is simple: you need to fully realize that in online poker such situations will arise all the time, since the poker server itself is configured for such hands, and nothing can be changed here. So you have two choices, either to measure with such hands and accept it, or not to play online poker.

I have a glass desktop, so pounding it isn't really an option.

BTW, I lose LOTS of 90% favorite hands. I don't know why exactly, but I do know it happens a LOT!

Cool! You want old, try this one:

It was nice to reminisce, while it's old that was a closed thread, you can't claim it as a thread bump, :p JD thought his bump was a record at 3y 8m 2d. https://www.cardschat.com/forum/community-hangout-4/testing-3/post-791713.html

Your CC name looks funny, looks different. ;)

You are who you are

If you are person who is more emotional then average, you feeling easily and often happy, sad, angry, joy, etc., i recommended to stop playing, if playing seriously with career and income in mind.

Your "emotional level" and you ability to control feelings is part of your personal trait. Those changes rearly. Even if you practice it, permanent changes to your personal traits happend rearly. What does not happend rearly is your tilt-zone with poker,- at some point easily emotional player find himself destroying his bankroll.

So unless you dont want to get yourself concussion and brain damage, -changes in personal traits is one of the consequences of that-, enjoy poker as a person you are,- its more fun anyways when playing not so seriously :)
