Understood. I have been playing mainly at .25/.50 in recent sessions, and have found good success. So, if it isn't broke...
Thanks for the info. I just got my bankroll over $100 last session, and I will give progress updates.
So far my month is going pretty slowly, but I do have the roll up to just under $160, it is possible that I will hit my goal of $200 and start playing 10nl by the end. Does anyone have any advice on the shift from 5 to 10nl?
i just fold hand 2, such a marginal hand especially when he opens to $7

Runs like that is why I can't play cash NLHE anymore. Too many people just throw their money in and hope for the best. Of course, its those people that usually win just enough to keep depositing (isn't poker great).
...and that was at .25/.50. Awesome!

Jurn and WVH pretty much summed it up. The variance is why BR management is so important. These are the guys that you want to be playing against as solid mathematical play should lead to 100+bb/100 in EV.
I've set a few goals for myself for this month.
1. Consistently perform well at .25/.50 limit Stud Hi, then work my way to .50/1. I don't like to set volume goals, as my time can be limited and rushing hands is bad for me.
2. Get my bankroll on FT to $100. I was close after Take 2, but lost quite a bit playing over my head at NLHU. Playing a solid limit game should get me there with less variance.
3. Play in a few MTTs and perform well. I haven't played these nearly enough, and I know I can do well. I will keep the buy-ins at no more than $5 or 6 depending on the structure.
Good luck to everyone else at their goals.
