November goals :

1. I know it's SNG thread but keep that 30BB/100 on PLO 6 max ring games in order to put bankroll at a level I'm comfortable with to replay higher buy-ins SNGs later with less BR management concerns :)

2 Due to the fact October have been kind of disastrous month for SNG (was playing 9 players 12$ turbo on FT with positive ROI until September and then i finished October playing 6.5$ ones with a negative ROI), trying to switch from turbos to standard ones : actually I play only turbo SNGs due to lack of time but as Debi said difference between turbo and standard structures aren't that high (6mn vs 3mn) so I may have to do that switch in order to see if it's turbo strucutre that is my problem or if it's more a problem on my own play (which i highly suspect as bad beats alones can't explain such an hideous month even if SNG Wiz didn't report many errors in my pushing and calling ranges).

3 So that would say playing 5.5 6 man and 9 man to begin November with.

4 Moving back to the 10's $ SNG before the end of the month.

5 Post more consistently SNG hands where I find my play to be debatable and be more active in analyzing SNG hands posted here on CC.

We'll how much goals I'll respect and succeed in (me think I would have a hard time to respect goal number 5 :p:rolleyes: but let's see...)

My goals for Nov are pretty simple. More learning, less playing.

Edit: Scratch that. More learning, same amount of playing ;)

Right played a few of the 90 Players SNG's Cashed in both 16th and 9th.

Stop playing the SNG's since the bad run of 4 in the row with no cash. Come back today played 1 and come 2nd. Going to start again after my dinner!

1. Stop switching games and stick to sng's for the month
2. 1K games at least
3. Get rolled for $6 games (100 Buyins)
4. Participate here I suppose

Is 100 buyins really necessary, or is that just your preferred level of comfort?

I definitely raise more pre, probably to around 150. The reason I say 150 is that the majority of the opponents you will face will call 150 if they will call 90. So value wise it is good to raise bigger early. Once the blinds get higher you can revert back to the 3x raise. Your in the early stages and 7's aren't really that strong of a hand, but, I don't have a problem playing them.

Raise to 150 or so and be happy to take the pot down right now.

The flop is a pretty safe one for you, no flush or straight draws and only one over card.

When it is checked to you, I definitely put a bet in here. odds are he missed and will fold, if he calls and no scare cards come I raise the turn if he bets and call the river after the jack comes.

I've found in these low limit tournaments that those small bets scream bluff. They have the Idea that they want to try and steal the pot but they don't want to risk a lot of money.

It's a little of both. I play turbo's and play 9 at a time. Variance can be killer in the turbo's so I like to have a little extra cushion.

It's also a comfort thing, I don't want to have to reload if I go on a bad run. I want to have enough buyin's to withstand variance.

You could get by with 40-50 buyins if you wanted to.

2 options I can see right off the top of my head.

1. Use google docs for your spreadsheet, then you can link directly to it (only editable by you we just see the numbers)

2. Take a screenshot of your excel spreadsheet. Just make sure everything you want is on the screen and press your "Print Screen" button on your keyboard. Open up MS Paint (Start >> Programs >> Accessories >> Paint) and press Ctrl + V (Paste). Then just save it, and upload it to photobucket.com which you can then link here.

Good luck!

Found I had 1 hour to play and didn't feel like going to bed yet so I started 5x 2.25$ NLHE 9pl turbo sngs - (multitable - I know they take roughly 1 hour).

Made 1/2/3/x/x for 18$ - 11.25 $ = 6.75$ profit.

Not too bad considering I only wanted to at least break even and get 1 FTP :D.

Luckily this is not my hourly wage :p.

Edit: Slowly the fact that I don't have rakeback yet starts crawling under my skin (would have been a meager 0.33$ today but still - that's a buy-in to the DD sat)

This is a tough spot. Your two pair may be good but there are so many flush and straight draws out there. I doubt villain is making this play with A-8, more than likely his 9-T just hit the miracle gut shot or he has 7-8. You still have 1380 left, and its early, wait for a better spot.

i'm shipping it here. there are too many draws and over pairs that could be raising here not too. the villian may also be taking a stab at the pot but there's enough in the pot to take it down.

Do you play sng's?

Yeah atm I am. Gotta try and rebuild my roll again from pretty much scratch so it's back down to the .10/360s, the .25/45s and .25/90s :( Hopefully pretty soon I'll be able to move up to the turbo 1.10/45s and just grind those out till I can get back to 10nl
