Haha D'wil I see this :p

It's all at Stars eagle, which as you can see is treating me nicely. However, now that I've posted this graph I'm just always checking over my shoulder for the inevitable doomswitch

doomswitches don't come from behind..
think of it more as running head first into a brick wall.

or alternatively as the first one here:

3 days and change left to pre-order SSNLHE. If you haven't already, I highly suggest you take advantage of the pre-order discount.

Anyone playing micro 6 max that'd be willing to look at some hand histories? FR was getting to feel like a rat race so I started playing some $25nl 6 max. No specific hands that I'm wondering about, more misapplied aggression/passivity.

I'd send like a couple of sessions by table so that you could load it into HEM/PT and see the flow and get opponent stats.

urgh, just on the back end of a downswing, recovered slightly of late, but I tilted aswell, which makes me feel so much worse about it, and cos I've dipped into a few MTTs using my SnG and Ring profits, my BR has really suffered, -$250 to just a few days ago :(

All 25NL, I 3 table and I got HEM a few days ago, so just my latest results, overall since summer break (about a month ago now) I'm about $700 up in total, but have only saved hands since recently, a lot of that profit comes from SnGs though (I dunno if SnGs are the devil's work round here! :D)

that is weird. someone said that at my table yesterday too
but i would definitely raise that flop, probably even donk it.
right now u have the idiot end of the straight and only an 8 high flush draw.

if river was any club other than 6c you would've been screwed..
raise that bad boi up !

No, he could've hit the Jc as well...

BTN probably calls you on any raises other than an all-in on the flop so not sure how I would play that...

Nice str8 flush though! :top:

Yeah, and turn/river could've been a Q or any other club other than 6 or J.
Point is he has a strong made hand on a flop that has mega draws. So he needs to bet it now, instead of slow playing and letting other people outdraw.

Not to mention that he makes his hand look like a flush/str8draw and in the event he hits and no one else does it's gonna be hard to get some more money out of it. In this case he got even more lucky to hit a str8 flush, but come on bet that flop. Make them pay.. They're bad enough to do it.

It is a quote particularly apropos to poker, especially my game.

I agree donking into this flop is a good play here most all the time, and I almost did it. But I will give you my reasoning for the way I played it and I think the results are almost as lucky as the hand was. ;)

Some who have played with me know I sometimes have had a propensity to slowplay big hands, but over the last several months that has been largely gone from my game. For the most part I've been playing loose aggressive ABC poker. Betting for value when I have it and protecting vulnerable made hands, and cbetting the rest most of the time.

At this table I was 100 or so hands in, playing tighter than usual (20/15ish) and had nearly doubled up (bought in for 120bb) showing down strong hands pretty much every time I cbet or raised on flops.

It was to a point that just about any bet or raise I made would take down the pot.

My position sucked, and I wanted to see what he original raiser did. With a made and vulnerable slightly ahead/way behind hand with some interesting redraw powers I decided to play conservatively and let go easily if I thought I was beat.

The turn call might have been spewey.

I would have only called on the river with any other spade or blank. I think the reason the BTN called my ridiculous c/r was I had value bet any other nut hand sensibly in the last 300 hands he had seen (I have history there) and I thought a c/r would look like a bluff to him and he obviously had a big hand. The flush or a boat were all easily in his range.

Like I said... blind squirrel.

But I appreciate the encouragement to raise the vulnerable made hand.

that is not a wa/wb situation though, your hand is way way way to strong for that, and your never wb with a flush draw aswell anyway. That would be like calling bottom set a wa/wb situation. I like donk betting pot on the flop since its just such a drawy board and so so so many cards can bink the turn that compeltely kill your action, you want to get as many chips in before the action killing cards come. Even a club is a bad turn card for you

this is exactly what i was saying.
your hand is so strong on flop but can be easily beaten/counterfeited on later streets

thus we want to get as much money in when we are ahead.

this hand isnt couterfeited that easily. if the're on a flush draw the got 5 outs. if they got a str8 draw 6. i do donk here but this maybe one of those rare times i bet giving them what looks like correct odds to chase a draw.

You're missing the point I think.

Any K,Q,7,8, or club either gives us the worse hand or kills our action. That's 23 potential killers in the deck. Also you can't exactly count J's,T's or 9's as good cards either. So like 3/4 of the deck is not "good" for our hand.
