Use a good deck of playing cards. Make sure none of them are bent, torn or stained. It's always a good idea to have a few spare decks. Structure is the most important ingredient for a successful tournament. This includes the buy-in amount, how many dollars in chips players start with.You will need to randomly distribute seats among all players. Have each player draw their spot. Don't let players choose their seats. Some players may want to sit on one side or the other of another player to gain an advantage. You will also need to determine how many people are sitting at each table. Give everyone enough space without crowding them. If necessary, add an additional table. Most large poker tables can comfortably seat 8-10 players.
