In the beginning I made some deposits of $10,$20 with some tournament winnings I believe I would be in a tie but I stopped with the deposits playing only with money won from free tournaments and promotions so there is some cash profit but this profit does not is not too big.
Ultimately poker for me is just fun.
Over time, the demand for poker has increased a lot so the free tournaments of old can't be played anymore. The only tournaments that are still good to play are the ones here in the community. That seriousness always prevails so we can play playable tournaments.
I've been playing poker for about 4-5 years, and in that time I haven't spent more than $ 100 on the game. And thanks to freerolls, I have probably won several thousand. I don't see the need to brag, because for me the main thing is my results, not the opinion of other players.
I do not take large sums of money, I try to win the money in freerolls and then play in tournaments or in cash ... and lose everything.
then repeat the procedure.
I only deposit when it gives me a ticket or some benefit. I have never used my own deposit money to play.
Right now, I have a bankroll built over freeroll winnings. But, the moment of truth is coming now that I decided to use it outside of the freeroll world. Lets see if I can make more money or if I will burn it all! LOL
I have won more than I have lost. Each place I play, I deposited $50 and once I doubled my cash, I took my original $50 out. I mostly play freerolls and occasionally micro games so my winnings do not add up to much but I have $280 on 888 and PS I have $400. So every bit of money I have in each account is all won. Those are my 2 main playing locations.
I'm definitely up overall but only a modest amount - if we consider it an hourly wage, I'm probably making 1$ per hour, given the time I've invested vs the amounts I've won.
I only play in the lower limits because I only play for as much money as I can afford to lose. Maybe I made around $ 80 playing poker. It is often the case with me. I win something, then I lose something again. I don't get rich by doing this, but it's fun and that's the main thing.
But if you play even 1 or 2 hours a day you will never really make a profit from poker. The variance is far too high for that. The professional online poker players play at least 10 tables simultaneously for 8 hours a day. This is the only way to balance out the variance in poker. They choose tables with a lot of fish and leave the table again if too many fish have left the table, otherwise it is not worth playing for they either. They use HUD stats to identify fish. So if you don't want to play professionally then you won't make big profits, at least not in the long term. Play for fun but not to get rich.
Very very small winner here playing on pokerstars. Sometimes it really feels like I am just playing for the lootboxes. And these PS lootboxes are kinda dissappointing...
In the beginning I played higher stakes and lost , especially at Pokerstars. But after I adjusted to small / micro stakes I win more than I lose over time.
Making money by playing poke is not easy depend on your skills , and controlling ability , i m also learning , feeling good and think positively will help you very much , i think playing poker the money will come astoundingly , begin with small step and patient we will have good result .
