Hello. I'm very curious how many of you guys made a profit from online poker so far, doesn't matter how much. Most people brag about their winnings but you rarely hear them say when they lose. Be honest please, haha. I'm mostly curious hearing from people who play for a few years now. Thanks
Considering the fact that I made deposits no more than 5 dollars and with pokerstars the minimum withdrawal is 50 dollars and I have withdrawn several times, then I can confidently say that I am in the black, albeit a little

I started playing real money in 2007. Made many deposits the first two years. After a nice score on PokerStars in 2008, I bought a couple of books from their bookstore. The transition to a consistent winner started then. When Black Friday came, I was ahead of the game. Went to Carbon Poker and for three years in a row I finished in the top 5 in micro tournaments. I tracked myself on OfficialPokerRankings.com. Have always played as goodsaint. Well ahead despite cash game losses. Since I’ve kept most of my emails, one day I’ll add up the deposits and cash outs and see exactly where I stand.

I can't say over my entire playing time, but I have been keeping track for the last 5 years and can surely say that I am making a profit.

I lost a lot more than I earned, but firstly I lost a small amount, and secondly I consider this my payment for self-learning to play poker!

I definitely lost more money than won, but thanks good I play games no higher than 1 USD so in last 2 years I lost maybe aobut 40 USD. Never had fun playing for big money, just putting a little bit to make the game more serious. I am enjoying poker without making big money. But I have a feeling... that... maybe... one ... day....
we will see.

I lose more than I win, because I play or hobby, as I work a lot (social assistant) and when I play with bigger buy ins I have a little more difficulty, patience wears out quickly, no matter how hard I try to play good hands I see my opponents distancing and this makes it very difficult to concentrate...

No way you can t win more then you lose in poker. Only if you win a huge monet from a tournament.

In the past two/three years I have won more money, a few hundred euros, than I have lost.
This is due to the many freerolls (thanks Cardschat) and good bankroll management.
However, when you convert the winning money into an hourly wage, it is of course very little.

I do find that experience and patience in poker helps you win more prizes in tournaments.

You have never lost money in poker, I started with freerolls, also from the beginning I used a strict BR control.

I have been playing since 2009 and there are statistics of my game.I will not say that I win a lot of money and am a super professional player.I play to raise the mood in everyday life.On the Sharscope website, not long ago I discovered that playing 5000 tournaments I remained in the black.here is the result.and there is something to strive for!

i think if i averaged out from when i very first starting it would be very close but i think i would be ahead and up in the long run. the times that i've ran really well and been able to stay up and cash out slightly outweigh the amount of times that i've ran really bad and dumped to people.

I can actually say that I have made money playing poker. It took a few years because online can be so difficult to make money with but I finally got there.

Lifetime def lost more then won however, its all experience to me and although I don't follow strict bankroll management I am getting more comfortable playing higher stakes.

My outlook on it is this, I am not here to become a professional and im not here to grind small stakes for ever if i cant jag a few wins playing on just Sundays throughout out the year then I'm happy

I'm pretty much a recreational player, and have only played free games online, never paid into any account or cashed anything.

In brick and mortar casinos I have mixed results. 2 daily tournaments, and I made it into the money both times (3rd at Caesar's Palace and 5th at Harrah's Cherokee). In cash games - I won about $600 at the Beau Rivage a few years ago, lost about $300 at Graton once, won about $30 another time, lost about $50 at Little Kings and Queens in GA, and won about $400 at Cherokee.

I mostly play free rolls at local restaurants/bars in the Atlanta area, and have won 5 of those tournaments in the last year (winning $100 each time).

It's really interesting to read how others have fared - thanks for sharing!

I have won more than lost if you only count the last 3 weeks. I have to have my electric turned back on before I can play cash games again.
