Hello. I'm very curious how many of you guys made a profit from online poker so far, doesn't matter how much. Most people brag about their winnings but you rarely hear them say when they lose. Be honest please, haha. I'm mostly curious hearing from people who play for a few years now. Thanks

I have won around 10.000$ from poker. As for tournaments you can check out my results on sharkscope. I have played on pokerstars and 888 Poker under the name "fundiver199" and on 888 Poker under the name "fundiver198". The reason for the two different accounts on 888 Poker is, that I moved from one regulated market to another. 888 Poker therefore closed my old account and asked me to open another. PokerStars instead transferred my account to a new license. As for cash games I am up somewhere between 1.000 and 1.500$. I have largely moved to tournaments, so I dont really keep track of my cash game results any more.

I played poker for a couple of years from 2009-2011 and won about $700 in net profit from cash games and SNGs. I started playing poker again in December 2019 and since then I've made another $700 in net profit from freerolls and SNGs. So altogether, I'm up about $1400 after three years of poker in total.

I'm sure I've lost quite a bit overtime, but as far as online goes - from the past 2 years I am profitable.

I'm up about €250, but that's only because I've only been playing for a few months and those are my winnings from sign up promotions and freerolls. If I had to actually pay buy ins to the tournaments I play I think I'd be about breakeven

Thanks for the reply.
Wow, you did a hell of a job sir, congrats. Interesting that you play mostly tournaments. Can I ask what is the reason you don't play cash games?:)

I have pulled a profit the last 4 years. Before that I am not sure but I would bet that I was a losing player in those years prior.

Reason I say that is once I really started to keep track, I have put a much more focused approach to get better and understand when and why I was losing. I also started really looking at hands I lost, especially what I though were bad beats a nd learned that I was 1 - not nearly as far ahead as I thought and 2 - playing in a way that encouraged my opponents to draw out to beat me.

Since I have never made a deposit to a poker site, I can proudly say I have won more than I have lost :D
Freerolls are awesome

Well done. This is my plan too. I play for fun and I like cardschat freerolls. I won't be making a deposit anytime soon:)

+1 lol I'm using up my freeroll options if I can get them too :D

Shame that I'm limited so much because I live in the USA (most sites I can't play for real money right now because of weird laws that vary from state to state), but it looks like the light is at the end of the tunnel because more states in the USA are beginning to legalize online poker and gambling again. I might be in the CardsChat freerolls even more if I get more freerolls available to me.

:)

Yes, by all means go at your own pace or bankroll management - even if that means never depositing lol. I've been playing poker freerolls for a little less than one year now and I've never felt a "need" or real desire to deposit. I just keep learning what I can and maybe one day I might play for real money, but I would have to hone my poker skills first :)

Lol

Hoping this thread doesn’t end quick

This is the House That Was Built On My Freeroll Winnings. So much talk of super duper way better than other shitty freerolls that aren’t as super duper as CC FREEROLLS here

I liked the one guy who said he was successful (10k!!), then goes vaguely on about being forced to change accounts and how he was “transferred” by Stars but now for some reason doesn’t track cash game results.

I know why I stopped tracking certain game results when I was a beginner and it wasn’t because I ran out of pens to write with.

If you got winners at the poker table.....you have players who don’t win in much higher numbers. I’m curious to see if each and every one here wins more than they lose

Over what period of time. Have you played for years or weeks to get $10K...

I tend to bank around $40 - $60 a month playing freeroll.

That's a nice amount, congrats. You have fun and win some money. Win win in my book. Best of luck in the future too:)

Well I can but since I am basically a freeroll player that really isn't setting the bar that high to just win more than you lose.

Couldn't tell you how much I'm up live/online individually or collectively but have a vague idea.

For a long time I've always had to withdraw the majority of my winnings to survive but recent wins have been super helpful building the BR up, long may it continue! :adore:

Definitely won a great deal more than staked. :)

Looking forward to having a computer & tracker so I can record and have black & white data but if you build your BR from freerolls it's all financial profit. :icon_thum

For myself I loss more than I win so I play free rolls, make a bit of money. With that money gain experience and bring my 888 poker level up to give me better pay outs and gain more experience with better players.

If you didn’t throw up and deposit, then you are always in the black, and I am that way.

Withdrew $500 in October and since it was a bitcoin withdrawal, it is worth over $1500 today since I left it in my bitcoin account.
